Beli is a remote village on Cres. Tramontana is really the only B&B in the area. The rooms are basic and the price is fair. The staff is very friendly. The location requires a car and you have to drive on a narrow picturesque road to get to your destination. The rooms do not have A/C and the bathroom is small which is usual for Croatia. You are in a remote location so water is a premium resource. We enjoyed our stay very much The setting is wonderful. If you enjoy being in a remote location and you enjoy nature then this property is perfect for you.

Located in Beli in the northern part of Cres Island, the eco-friendly Pansion Tramontana offers individually decorated rooms with mini-bars. Free private parking is provided. Pansion Tramontana uses recycled rain water and environmentally-friendly cleaning products. The guest house it next to the International Center for Conservation dedicated to the protection of the white griffin vulture, a bird which has its natural habitat on the island of Cres. Traditionally prepared fish and meat dishes, including the characteristic Dalmatian Peka dish, are served on the large terrace or in the dining room. The terrace offers scenic views over Kvarner Bay.

Pension Tramontana is a special place to stay. With magnificent views over the Kvarner bay, surrounded by pure nature, sheltered by centuries-old olive and oak trees, it attracts both families and guests seeking tranquillity, but also active holidays enthusiasts searching for perfect bike trails, trekking paths or diving spots. For those who just want to relax and swim in crystal clear sea there are several irresistible sheltered pebble beaches below historic town Beli, accessible on foot or by boat only. And if you are a passionate bird watcher, we believe you will be happy to know that griffon vultures are nesting here on steep cliffs above the sea. Our Pension has 12 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, mini fridges and tv's. We have single, double, double with single option, and two family rooms (with 2 separate bedrooms and 1 bathroom). All rooms are uniquely decorated in a traditional way. We provide a rich buffet breakfast as a basic service but guests can also choose half and full board. We do provide vegetarian food and on advance request we can prepare vegan, gluten free breakfast and other meals.
The owners, Nina and Robi Malatestinic, have been in the business for more than 25 years and made pension Tramontana and Beli a place to visit either for active or tranquil holiday . They also own a small diving base near the beach which makes Beli a popular diving destination for individuals and groups. You can also book a 5 day diving course, go on a boat or diving excursions to more than 10 locations in the area and to the ship wreck Lina. In Beli guests can also enjoy walking, hiking and biking on natural trails.
Beli is a small historical town in the middle of the Tramuntana forest on the northern part of the island of Cres. The town is charmly situated on the top of a 130 m hill. Beli has been inhabited for over 2000 years. Below the town is a small fishing port with a beautiful pebble beach and small stone houses. To reach Beli, you need to follow the narrow 8 km road that leads off the main island road. You will pass by the giant oaks, see the sheep wondering around freely. The surroundings are dominated by the mysterious labyrinths, Keltic tombs and Roman ruins, proud griffon vultures circling the skies and dolphins play in the blue sea. In the past an important economic point of the northern part of the island, today has only about 45 inhabitants due to emigration and changes in lifestyle.
