It's a great city with pedestrian friendly streets.
It's a great city with pedestrian friendly streets. I mostly enjoyed Trsat Castle, Sablićevo beach and Submarine burger restaurant.
One of the central city locations - Mrtvi kanal - smells bad.
But I think I spent too much time here and I wish I spent more time in Rovinj which was even more amazing.

Dinner at Bistro Molnar was good.
Dinner at Bistro Molnar was good. Location of apartment in relation to public transport also good. Apartment was excellent value as long as you're prepared for the 130 plus stairs up and then down again,

Beach is also very close if you without a car you can always take a bus and it takes just few minutes to get there... very satisfied. The flat is clean with every supplier you need. A great historical city with an old town, many restaurants and cafes, and an active cultural life. Excellent opportunities to travel around the area, accessible by public transport: castles, resort towns with excellent beaches and their infrastructure. I recommend taking a boat tour to the nearest islands. Although cards work well, many places only accept cash. I recommend visiting the market, especially in the morning, and if you have the opportunity to cook, buy fresh fish.

Rijeka is a working port so its not the prettiest of places in Croatia. We had a blissful time as we just wanted to read and relax without the hustle and bustle of tourists. We had a hotel right on the water and it was spectacular. Food was cheap and eating out was very reasonable. The town was a real joy and very easy to get around. A great place to commence your journey through beautiful Croatia.

Rijeka is a really good destination for a couple of days.
Rijeka is a really good destination for a couple of days. The centre is walkable and has plenty to show. It's easy to get around what had been Rijeka in history. However it's not so easy to get around what had been Sušak in the period between two world wars. When you come up to Trsat you may dine at Caracca Restaurant. It is also good to eat at the restaurant across the park that separates the Croatian National Theater Ivan pl. Zajc and the market. Prices in Rijeka are reasonable as far as I could see.
Very responsive private host; provided a small map of the area showing parking options; nearby restaurants & shops, which made it easy to find and navigate. The small flat is very nicely furnished and decorated, as in the pictures (except some color differences). Nicely equipped kitchen and very comfortable shower. Fantastic view over the stadium on to the ocean. In Mid-May it was easy to find free parking very close to the flat. We would stay there again, even though it is not close to the main tourist attractions of Rijeka or Opatija.
The location is very convenient to reach (on foot or by public transportation) both the center of Fiume (Rijeka) and the Trastski Castle. From the house it is also possible to take the bus with which to reach Abbazia (Opatija), a town along the cost that is very beautiful to visit and where there are lovely little pebble beaches where you can swim in a clear, transparent sea. In the kitchen there is almost everything you need. In the house you have available maps, brochures and other very useful tourist information.
Location is central. Pricing is very affordable. High ceilings and historic building exterior and interior design made our stay in Rijeka authentic. Our host was amazing and welcomed us very warmly. Warm hosts are becoming rare on booking.com nowadays, so we were positively surprised to have such a warm host. The apartment is on the 3rd floor without an elevator, yet our host offered us help with carrying baggage which is very nice. The room even has its kitchen.
The apartment was cozy and the host was very welcoming. Excellent communication, great sight from the balcony, large number of ammenities. Pleasant location with plenty of space for parking and well maintained infrastructure around.
Bus stop a hundred meters away, supermarkets not far away, a great place.
The place is furnished like a home and while not super luxurious, does feel like a home, instead of an anonimous hotel/bnb.
The hotel is situated near the very center of the town of Rijeka (Fiume). Very important feature of the Hotel "Neboder" is a free-of-charge parking - either in the Hotel's garage or directly in the front of the entrance to the Hotel.
The personnel is very kind. Buffet-type breakfast is very abundant.
Generally, it was a lovely stay.
Everything was above expectations... clean and large apartment, ecquiped with all you need for a long vacation.
The host is a very friendly and helpful person. He helped us a lot during our stay, with advices and promptitudines.
If we will ever get back to Rijeka, this is a place for us to return!
Everything was perfect. Our hosts were really kind and didnt interupt us in any way. They even didnt make problem about us staying a little bit past our leaving time. Apartments are located in a very good spot in city centre and would recomend to every couple planing a trip to Rijeka.
The apartment was very beautiful and had all the conditions that a vacationer might need, it was like a 5-star hotel.
Balcony overlooking the sea, kitchen, even ingredients for cooking food. I want to thank the owner of the apartment once again and wish him only success.
The apartment was nice and clean, had an absolutely amazing terrace with the see view and a beach in 10 min. It is located between Rijeka and Opatija and takes 20-30 min by bus to get to either, so unless you need to go to the city every day, the location is perfect
Great location near bus and train station. Walking distance to some attractions and plenty of restaurants. Clean and the TV had Netflix and YouTube options. Would stay here again if in Rijeka. Allowed me to checkout an hour late, very appreciated.
The location is good, very clean. The owner is very friendly and pleasant. He met us and treated us to drinks. When leaving the hotel I was given a small present, which was very nice. If we go to Rijeka, then only to this hotel. I recommend:)))
The door of the apartment was unlocked, and the keys were inside. The host lives next door and is very friendly. The apartment is very close to the University of Rijeka so the place is ideal for visiting lecturers.
The beauty of the location, the bed so comfortable, the astonishing bathrom and the b&b Is so close to the center! A plenty of pubs , restaurant and the manager Is a really kind and professional One,so nice!
This is a room in a private flat. It is comfortable, but is probably not to be compared with a hotel. As there are only two people in the flat one does need to liaise with them about arrival times.
Room was good. You could jump right in the Adriatic from the little beach area at the hotel. Excellent breakfast. We ate dinner at the hotel on the resturant balcony. Excellent food and view.
Good host, very friendy and helpful, showed us location after arival and gave us good tips what not to avoid aroud, nice weather most of the time, good fish restaurants in rijeka and opatia
Nice appartment with a new furniture and astonished view! Accomadation manager was super wilingfull and we could checkin as well as checkout in different hours, thanks!
