Room had a balcony and the bathroom looked brand new. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When I was there in October, the price was a real deal. Good breakfast buffet. Excellent location right at the ferry stop and a short walk to national park entrance.

Beautiful quiet and small town on a fairly small island. The town had a few activities to do from bikes to SUP to kayaking and of course hiking through the very beautiful Mljet National Park. Beaches are of course rocky like in most of Dalmatia. The town will take no time to walk through, and getting around the rest of the island isn't easy unless by car (taxi or your own) -- but for the NP that's no issue as it's reachable within 15 minutes and doesn't allow cars for the most part.AlejandroSpain - 10Scored 10

Polače is lovely small village just in the heart of Mljet National Park. We enjoyed local bakery, dinner at Konoba Gunduliste and the nature all around. It is great starting point to exploring NP but also just for relaxing beach day. If you like quiet and peace places for your holiday, Polače is definitely good choice for you :).Nicole - 6.0Scored 6.0

Quiet place, inside the National Park and close to the Lakes, which is great! The beach is nothing special with a lot of sea urchins in the water. Expensive restaurants serving mostly wealthy people from yachts.

From Polače you can access the national park of Mljet easily - we hired bikes and it was a short (but hilly) ride to the entrance of the park and then we cycled around the lake and swam etc. There are a handful of restaurants in Polače - some of them are pretty expensive but there were a couple that were more reasonable.LaurenUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

Polace is quite lonely during September, when we visited, but it is a very good location for going to the NP Mljet, because you can take the free bus (included in the NP ticket) to center of National Park. There are some nice roman ruins, but it is not must-see sight. There are few expensive restaurants serving mostly see food, mini market, bakery. We loved being able to sit on the balcony overlooking the sea. Jelena was an excellent host, she went above and beyond, to make us feel very welcome,one evening, she even put a table and chairs on the pier out front, so we could enjoy a pre dinner drink. Their restaurant downstairs was delicious, her husband Tony cooked the best black risotto and the most delicious mussels. We absolutely loved our stay at Polace. The apartment is located ten meters from the sea, the terrace overlooks the beautiful harbor. It was clean, it has everything you need for a pleasant stay... The fridge is big, the bed is comfortable. The location is beautiful, Polače is close to the national park. Mrs. Željka is very nice and kind host, always available. They also kept a suitcase for us until the afternoon. We can't wait to return to beautiful Mljet.
