If you are wanting excitement, nightlife and a lot of shops and bars then this is not the place for you.
It does give you access to north Bali - but there is still a lot of travelling involved - however if someone who knows the roads is driving then it is enjoyable and gives you the opportunity to take more notice of the scenery.
We loved staying in the Kelapa Retreat and Spa and we used the restaurant there for the whole of our stay.
The beach is lovely. It is long and suitable for surfing and swimming and walking along

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, look no further. We walked for an hour along the beach and met just a handful of people. Get here before they finish the motorway as I'm sure it won't be the same! The sea is a little bit rough, but the beach is amazing for walking.

The beaches here are relatively remote and crowd free.
The beaches here are relatively remote and crowd free. The surf can be challenging for general swimming, as can the rocks but it has a lovely vibe and the locals gather to socialise on the beach too, which adds to its interest as a place to visit. Authentic Bali! Pulukan Town is quote ordinary but nearby Medewi has a small strip of surf shops and good restaurants.

The newly established quaint place really stands out when you ride/pass by it on the beach front road. It is nicely set up with the infinity pool at the front and luscious garden everywhere you look. My 3nights stay was very pleasant. The room is cozy and quiet, it is equipped with everything you need with attention to details such as convenient locations to charge your phones. I love the touch of Indonesian &Balinese architectures and crafts. I looked forward to watch sunrise and sunset while sipping my drinks, maybe walking on the beach or swimming.
The restaurant serves great selection of breakfast. Fruit platter and the Health Bowl were my favorites. Lunch & Dinner menus offer variety choices from local dish, seafood to pastas, all are delicious with generous portions. I suggest to try the fish soup, shrimp with rice, bbq chicken with sweet potatoes, also their spaghetti napolitana. I highly recommend Wide Sands, it is indeed a great retreat by the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at Puri Dajuma.
We really enjoyed our stay at Puri Dajuma. The food was excellent. The staff really went out of their way to take care of us, from airport transfers to assisting to book activities. We enjoyed the snorkeling. Our room was beautiful with a lovely open bathroom. There was always fresh fruit for breakfast and flowers in our room in the evenings. The pools were clean and refreshing.

Surf here was fun- there’s the point and a few other little spots around here which break both left and right, and are pretty mellow and suitable for all levels. Local guys are very friendly and there’s nice vibes in the water. Locally there’s beautiful waterfalls to go and visit, and lovely little cafes and restaurants to eat at. I could have stayed here for much longer, because it’s so quiet and tranquil. I imagine I’ll be back very soon.
My friends and I were at AgaLiving for a short couple of nights stay to surf and enjoy Western Bali. Dawok, the manager, was awesome, friendly, and helped us with all our questions and needs. The Family Terrace where we stayed had a beautiful patio and 2nd floor balcony where we could check the surf. The AC worked well and the beds were comfy. The breakfasts are delicious, filling, and delivered to our room each morning. We look forward to staying at AgaLiving again the next time we visit Bali!
Kelapa Hotel is a wonderfull resort on Indian Ocean beach, with such a great exotic garden, many frangipani trees, palms, beautiful plants. The staff is absoluty great, very warm and kind. Food at the restaurant is local and international, great taste.
The SPA are provide many types of massage, please try Samudra massaje and hot stone masage. I' like to come back come day there, totally recommand Kelapa Resort and Spa.
It was our second time here. Staffs are always friendly, the breakfast was great, water pressure was great, plenty of place to hang out and chat, comfy beds... on top of that the staffs were friendly to sweet neighbor dogs, there was only one female dog when we were there few months ago, now there were 3. We were travelling with vets so we spayed them and now they wont multiply. Not only a great hotel, it is also kind💕nothing to complain about.
Perfect location for surfing or to watch surfing. The rooms are clean, and Modern. The restaurant has good food, and great location to watch surfing, and sunsets. The massage is great! But the best thing about this resort is the staff! They are warm, friendly, and made me smile every day. They were there for my every need. For those who have not been able to experience the old Bali with a modern twist this is the place to go.
Exceptional boutique hotel on the Medewi Point Break. Staff fantastic, they knew your name on the first day. Had State of Origin. Fantastic food and service. Rooms very large, clean and very comfortable with great balconies. Pool area is amazing, looking out over the surf...
The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff is super polite, professional, and friendly. The food is very good and the kitchen looks clean and well-organized. There is not much around the hotel but the hotel is a good retreat.
Dawok took care of us really well here, a genuinely great guy. Hard to beat this place for value and location, can paddle out for a surf right from the beach in front of the hotel. Breakfast was quite simple but still good.
Fantastic hotel across the road from the beach. Could hear the waves in the pool. Lovely pool and gardens. Big comfy rooms. Great shower. Delicious cafe 160m down the road with extensive menu and it overlooks the surf.
We loved every inch of this gorgeous and relaxing resort. The villas are worth the price and the outdoor shower and tub were amazing 🤩 The food was the best out of the three resorts we stayed at in Bali.
Beautiful setting right on the beach, wonderful villa with private pool and ocean view. Exceptional staff and good food. My personal favorite of four places we stayed during a 2-week trip to Bali.
Hospitality, very friendly staff, really good food, and a beautiful beach without the tourists. locals on the beach enhanced the atmosphere of that place. You can feel the authentic energy of Bali.
Location was amazing, the food incredible. I can’t rate the staff highly enough they are so nice here, not over the top but attentive, polite and considerate. Best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
I was just perfect, from the staff to the settings and the food. It was just all round 10/10. We’ve stayed in Bali at another resort and we miss puri dajuma
