We rented a driver for 2 days and he took us to the tourist spots. The road is very small and curvy but our driver was good. The views were amazing. Not really developed yet but moving quickly. Stayed at edge of a village so saw real village life barely touched by tourism. Would have liked some independent restaurants. Need to drive to get around. Take plenty of cash as atm far and few. Beautiful island well worth a visit for a short stay.

There are certain tourist spots like Angels Billabong and Broken bay that are extremely busy which spoilt it for us . Atuh beach was quieter and better for us . Most probably better as there is a walk with steps that people would see as a deterrent! Wayan and her husband organized a tour with a private driver for me and also a ticket to Nusa Lembongan with a transfer to the harbor. Wayan's mum prepared a delicious breakfast and fresh juice in the morning and brought it to the terrace at the requested time. If I ever come back to Nusa Penida, La Colina will be for sure my first choice where to stay.

He offered to drive us around a lot to restaurants, the harbor etc. He also helped us book trips on the island which was great because it was just so handy to have help and the price was the same or cheaper compared to tour/trip offers we saw. The swimming pool was a nice way to relax and cool down after our adventures, the room was spacious, the AC cold and we liked the location a lot, the garden is beautiful!
