From receptionist meeting us at other end of the property where reception was located, our stay had been excellent. All the staff were friendly and the waitresses at breakfast remembered each of our quirky preferences by the second breakfast. Quite a remarkable feat considering there were 4 of us with our individual requirements. Waitress Kadek made the effort to remember them all and each morning simply rattle them off - amazing!! Our request to have a room with pool access was granted and we really loved that, so much so that after a night at another hotel in Ubud we cancelled the other previously booked and paid for rooms and returned to the Kamuela at great expense to us. We are seeking a refund for the cancelled nights but we are not confident if that will be realised. The location was excellent with choice of restaurant within walking distance.
