As owner of the Rumah Kita Villa/hotel I am in Indonesia about 50 % of my time. The other 50 % I live in Holland. As I have been travelling through Indonesia extensively over 40 years I try to help my guests in their planning and organisation of their holiday in Indonesia.

Property info

Small scale Villa/hotel with a rather large garden, swimming pool and 6 very spacious rooms located in a small desa (village area) overseeing the ricefields. Ideal location to visit Plantations and the Nat. Parks of East Java, like Meru Betiri, Kawah Ijen and Alaspurwo. Set up of Rumah KIta is quite different from a traditional Minihotel.Guesthouse. All staff run their own businesses, like 5 women/girls run their own restaurant and other staff run the trips and laundry services. This all to develop more responsibility and all profit they generate is for themselves

Neighborhood info

In the area the country village of Kalibaru amidst plantations and mountains. Small scale home industries, coffee-, rubber- and cacao-plantations can be visited as well as beautiful hikes can be made from 1 - 6/7 hours. But the main attractions are the trips to the National Parks of Meru Betiri (Plantations, jungle and Giant Seaturtles), Kawah IJen volcano, (Active volcano with a blue/green crater lake) and Alas Purwo (Wildlife reserve with mangroves) Kalibaru (Rumah Kita) can be easily reached by bus and train . The train from the Bali ferry and from Surabaya, Bromo stops in Kalibaru. Or Rumah KIta can arrange your transport.
