A wonderful place with a very nice view. The staff (family) is incredibly helpful and friendly. The cooking is very good... breakfast is amazing! Possibility to get assistance of a sympathic local guide (Paul Lion) and also possibility to rent bike for exploring sites and villages in the neighbourhood.

We stayed in an original Togkonan so it was so interesting. Breakfast and dinner were really nice. Toraja land is at the mountains so quality standards and facilities are different, but Manaek and his brother Jerry were always helping everyone and trying to do everything for their guests. Place is so nice, close to Rantepao, which has no interest, but at country side so you can walk round rice fields without problem. I will recomend yhis place to anubody who wants to have a nice experience in Toraja, so for us has been unforgetable!

The staff are super-friendly ! Even though It seemed like the host\cook was the only person who can speak -basic- English, they will welcome you as a member of family and they will try to help you with everything . I'll never forget how her brother took me by his scooter to enjoy the sunrise above the clouds ( an experience that I highly recommended btw ), and how we used an app in his phone to translate because he can't speak English. It was one of the funniest experiences of my life ! The rooms were nice and clean, the bed was comfortable with mosquito net . You get the feeling of living in a traditional Tongkonan surrounded by nature, which is perfect if you wanted just to relax in a Tana Toraja cultural atmosphere . And Yep ! They were right about the cook . After I ate here, I couldn't find any food on par with it in any other accommodation . In other words : The FOOD here is The BEST I've had during my whole trip to Sulawesi !

We rented the whole old Toraja house. Upstairs is a living areas with two double bedrooms (floor level mattress with mosquito nets). Downstairs is a living area and bathroom with a small terrace and sitting dining area looking out on the rice barns. Truly great place to stay.
