Nestled in the heart of stunning forestry and ever popular trails, you will find the neo gothic splendour that is Belleek Castle. Built in 1831 Belleek Castle is a warm welcoming hotel, blanketed in history. The award winning Library Restaurant has won several awards in 2017 including the 'Best Restaurant in Connaught, 'Best Customer service in Mayo' and Romantic Hotel of the year 2018. With our intriguing Marshall Doran Museum, unique Spanish Armada bar to mention but a few the Castle truly has something for everyone. The Jack Fenn Cafe situated in the courtyard and housed in the former 1820's stables & coach house, recently won the award for "Best Newcomer in Connaught 2018".
Here in Belleek Castle we pride ourselves in putting our guests first. This is immediately noticeable as you are warmly greeted by our courteous and helpful reception staff. Our exquisite Chef David O'Donnell Stephen leads the Kitchen team, his philosophy that drives the food at Belleek: His inspiration and creativity comes from using what you can get from land, sea and air to combine a depth of flavour and transforming them into a culinary adventure. The cooking ethos is based in partnership with locally sourced ingredients from farmers, fisherman, breeders and providers from the west of Ireland with whom we work with to ensure our food is seasonal. Creating menus with a modern Irish influence and classical techniques in order to ensure the quality ingredients are to the forefront of each dish. We are planning menus a season or two ahead working hand- in - glove with our producers to develop ingredients tailored to Belleek’s menus. We’ve made sure the dining experience is accessible and flexible. The cooking is not overly technical and tricky – it allows the pure flavors of the ingredients tell their own story serving natural food and artisan coffee.
Belleek Castle is the ideal location for all adventures. The Belleek Woods, comprising 200 acres of woodland with trees up to 300 years old, there are great walking, running and cycling options along the river Moy. With the scenic coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way awaiting exploration and the enchanting woods surrounding, there is allot of nature right on our doorstep. For those with more flare for Golf, Ballina, Enniscrone, Rosses point and Carne courses are all within driving range. The River Moy also lends itself to many activities whether its for the relaxation of Fishing or the tranquillity of sailing Ballina has it all to offer. Of course there are the sea weed baths in Enniscrone to rejuvenate and the numerous beauticians and salons in town to beautify.
