RESPONSE TO COVID 19 Your safety and well being is our priority. During these unprecidented times we want to ensure your visit to Burkedale House and Cottage can be enjoyed without worry.We are located in a rural area with a good distance between neighbours. Both The Cottage and Garden Suite are completely self contained with self check in so social distancing is no issue.  We have always prided ourselves on our standards of cleaning but in repose to the Covid 19 outbreak we have implimented an enhanced cleaning protocol to assure you of our practise in helping to prevent spread of infection.  We bought Burkedale House in 2003 and have completely renovated it and landscaped the gardens. It has been our family home since. Following retirement in 2017 Joanne and Tony bought and renovated The Cottage in the grounds of Burkedale House and started providing B&B in the main house. Following 2 very successful seasons we decided to add an additional self-catering suite which is ideal for families. Due to Covid 19 we are not providing B&B this year but our breakfasts can still be ordered for the self-catering accommodation

Burkedale House is set in the archaeologically rich landscape of Dysart O'Dea in Co. Clare Ireland with outstanding elevated views of Burren mountains and Fergus River valley. The Garden Suite is a self contained deluxe self catering facility in the main house and The Cottage (separate listing) is fully self contained in the grounds of the property. Free parking is available on site. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and toiletries are provided as standard. Additional breakfast hampers can be purchased on request. Guests can enjoy wandering through the landscaped gardens, relax on the large patio or sit in the oriental tea house to enjoy the outstanding views. Both facilities also have private gardens with garden furniture for alfresco dinning. Burkedale House is an excellent base for touring Shannon region, Coast, Galway, Kerry. Extensive range of DVDs and Blu-rays that guests are welcome to borrow. There is also an extensive range of books and board games for guests to enjoy.

A quiet friendly rural area. Enjoy the 5km circuit from the house to see the 11th century monastery and castle.The 3 closest towns of Corofin, Ennis and Ennistymon cater for every type of shopping, and do buy meat at one of the many butchers shops selling local meat only (not at a supermarket). County Clare is wonderful with so much to see and do. Two excellent fish shops in Ennis. UK papers available from Connors newsagent in Market Square. Co Clare is the music centre of all of Ireland. We love the rural area in the vicinity of the house; great for walking on these narrow roads with heavy verge. Don’t miss the local tower/castle at Dysert O’Dea. There are wonderful views from within, or when eating out in the gardens. The area is full of pubs, restaurants and music.
