Offering a garden and sea view, Earls View Maxi Pod is set in Carna, 700 metres from Moyrus Beach and 40 km from Alcock & Brown Memorial. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. There is a seating area, a dining area and a kitchenette complete with a microwave, a toaster and a fridge. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Kylemore Abbey is 46 km from the luxury tent, while Maam Cross is 41 km away. This new site on The Wild Atlantic Way, is set up looking directly at the most stunning scenery in Moyrus Bay. Your perfect base for hiking, walking, cycling and relaxing, wake up to look out your window to see the Atlantic, the 12 Pins mountain range and beautiful Moyrus Bay. The Pod is very cosy and compact with a great power shower and ensuite bathroom. There is a microwave, mini fridge, DVD player, toaster, kettle and cast iron outdoor chiminea. There is a barbecue available on request. Specialist microwave cooking equipment inside the Pod can be used for steaming veg and poaching eggs. It is the perfect getaway for those wishing to unwind with a beautiful sandy beach 5 minutes from your doorstep. The Pod is positioned in a 2 acre site with another glamping Pod and static caravan about 100 / 200 yards away on the same site. The land in totally enclosed by stone walls and is gated and very private. There is an outside ground bike rack holder together with picnic table and 2 outdoor chairs. The Pod is well insulated and well designed for the Connemara weather ! Parking for the Pod is next to it.
The village of Carna is about 3 miles away and has 2 traditional pubs, a restaurant/hotel and 3 small shops including a garage and a post office. There are many interesting local walks in the area and a booklet has been left in the Pod for guests to use displaying the walks and information on local wild plants in addition to information on horse riding, golf, swimming , fishing and bike hire in Connemara. The site has a field bordering it with cattle in which are kept at bay with a stone wall. The gates are kept closed at all times to the site as there are other animals that do roam around such as ponies and donkeys which can come in to the site and go damage if the gates are left open. There is plenty of room on the site for the storage of boats or kayaks etc. There is 3G/4G access on the site in addition to a regular mobile phone signal all of which can be interfered with by the weather. The area is Irish speaking and the neighbourhood is quiet and totally unique
