Our hand made Eco Cabin / Tiny House is a warm, peaceful space with bespoke furniture and birch ply lined walls. Kids love the mezzanine sleeping platform over the kitchen. The cabin is at the top of our beautiful, terraced, harbour side flower garden with an open fire pit with seating at the back enjoyed by adults and kids alike with out clear West Cork night sky offering views of the stars many haven't seen before. We are less than 500m from Goleen High Street with it's shops, pubs cafe and tourist info centre. Ideally situated to explore Mizen Head, Barley Cove Beach, Crookhaven and 3 Castles Head. We are a coastal organic farm producing Connemara Ponies, vegetables, and trees we have on site activities and bike hire plus massage and other experiences visit our goleen harbour website for more info.
Melanie & Matt are your hosts, the environment is our main priority on the farm that's why our cabin is built using local materials such as the Douglas Fir cladding and is very energy efficient. We enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories, and advising on where to eat and what to visit.
There are many local attractions such as Mizen Head a Wild Atlantic Way Discovery Point, the magical 3 Castles Head where you'll find the ruins of the O'Mahony's 3 Castles with a lake in front of it and views across the Atlantic. We have some of the best cycling roads in the country and offer discounted bike hire to our guests, guided rides are also an option. The fishing village of Crookhaven is just around the corner where you'll find fantastic sea food, amazing views and friendly locals. Ballyrisode beach is the the East and perfect for children with its sheltered shallow water, the expansive Barleycove Beach is to the West and a favourite with surfers. Whale watching and Sea Safaris run out of Schull just 12km away with it's great selection of shops and galleries. Lots to do here but the main attraction is our unspoilt land and sea scape!
