Becky was friendly and well organized, the room was clean and comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable and location was quite nice and quiet. We loved this place and would happily return.

you could not find a finer property off the beaten track of the major tourist areas. set an a charming Seaside Village, kilcommon Lodge is run by Betty, One of the finest hospitality in keepers I’ve seen. The room I stayed in had old world Irish charm, it was so clean you literally could eat off the floors. there wasn’t a spot or scratch in the porcelain. The kitchen was open to all guests, tidy & had most everything anyone would need. out in the dining area where there was a small fireplace plenty of games and books overlooked such beautiful landscaping of rolling green mountains overlooking the bay. Big looping hikes are right outside the door. there’s McGuire‘s pub a charming place to visit right around the corner and up the street from Betty’s inn. The owner Mixie Maguire is a third generation local who’s family built the pub. If you want a real piece of Ireland stay at Kilcommons lodge

It’s hard to add anything positive that hasn’t already been said. We had a private room/bath and enjoyed a restful, quiet night. Full kitchen for any cooking you want to do. Betty is a splendid host.

Betty was very kind and the communication was great.

Felt at home, warm fire, gentle conversation or silence and reading books enjoying the wonderful view, walked around the area and even found a remote beach, good country living

Excellent host.. very good facilities loved staying here

Betty was so friendly and accommodating from our first communication and throughout our stay. We arrived later than intended but let her know our schedule ahead and she was very accommodating. She made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We cooked our own meals, but she was available to cook if we would've preferred. We'll most certainly return. Thank you, Betty!

Its a very nice solid place to stay. Pretty, quaint, good staff, all the facilities you need.

A lovely quiet hostel in a wonderful, remote location. Our host was very welcoming. Upon checkout she asked where we were going next and recommended a visit to the seaweed baths at Enniscrone, which we did and loved it!

What a gem of a place, this is more than a hostel, it's a bed and breakfast with a special touch - a beautiful house, serene location and most of all the lovely lady, Betty, who runs/ owns the place. We loved our one-night stay here, warmth, comfort, and beauty.
