Breakfast was lovely and the host catered for all dietary requirements which was great. The room was spotless, and the beds were so comfortable!

Top class accommodation, very clean, comfortable and homely. Excellent breakfast.

Thank you Carol and Jim for a wonderful stay in your beautiful, comfortable home. We very much enjoyed the comfortable, spacious bedroom with great attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious cooked to order, very generous with plenty of choice available. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house/setting, run by a lovely couple Jim and Carol. Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Fabulous breakfast.

Carol and Jim were so welcoming and gave great recommendations for the area. The B&B couldn’t be more beautiful - our room was massive and cosy, and the gardens are gorgeous. It’s a short walk down the hill to the village for excellent seafood and creamy pints. The breakfast was delicious and there were loads of homecooked options. We will be back!

The drive there is beautiful, you go around the bay and up the hills. It is near the Drombeg Stone Circle, which is a must see. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was cooked to order and fantastic. Our hosts were very welcoming.

This was a lovely building in a lovely setting. Our family room was quite large and very comfortable. The hosts were helpful and friendly as well.

The atmosphere was very peaceful and very quaint!!! Love Carol and Jim they made our stay very memorable!! The rooms were very meticulous! Amazing!!!

The place was beautiful, the rooms comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding.

The were very nice people. We asked a glass of milk for our child around 9pm and they very kindly prepare for us. Moreover, they had even few board games in the house that we used before go to bed. The garden that they had is super beautiful as well. Definitely very nice place to stay.

Whether for bed and breakfast or a self-catering holiday, Lis-Ardagh Lodge in Union Hall is the perfect base from which to explore picturesque West Cork. And with our gym and sauna, a relaxing break is more than assured. Skibbereen, Clonakilty, Glandore and Baltimore are all just a short drive away, whilst walkers can wander along the coast with its sandy coves, finding archaeology and history all around. Union Hall, a thriving fishing village with an active pier having the third largest fishing fleet in Ireland. Across the bay is Glandore, famous for its regatta. Sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and fishing are all possible in the immediate locality. Or you may simply like to relax and enjoy the food and drink in one of the local pubs in either Union Hall or Glandore. Skibbereen is 8klm, a busy market town that hosts a wonderful country market every Saturday where people from all over west Cork come to sell their wonderful home grown produce, cheese, breads, jams and crafts. You will also find the Heritage Centre that has a wonderful famine display, and the Lough Hyne Visitors Centre. Lis-ardagh Lodge is a great location for visiting all of west cork from Kinsale to the Mizen
Both Jim and I love to garden which is handy really considering how extensive our gardens are. Jim loves his orchard where he grows apples, gooseberries, blackcurrants etc; for making our Jams. He has designed the gardens so that there are different walk ways and sitting areas to relax in. We both enjoy running the B&B, meeting different people from all over the world. Our Children have both now left home, but regularly return and will be found helping around the house.

Glandore also has a sailing school which is very popular for all ages, families start their children here, returning each year to obtain another level. There are wonderful walks in and around Union Hall, raheen woods being a favourite of children with its own fairy house community. There are boats leaving from Reen pier to go deep sea fishing or whale and dolphin watching.
