It was probably the largest room we stayed at during our Ireland stay. And the best water pressure of any hotel so that was really nice. The owner, Dermot, was fun and lively and showed us pictures of his grandfather who had been a stand-in for John Wayne during his filming of 'The Quiet Man' that was filmed in nearby Cong in the 1970's. We met some really interesting people there and had a delightful stay. Dermot recommended we go to Burke's pub for dinner and we had a great dinner there, drinking the local brew, and sitting outside in the back overlooking the beautiful yard. The hotel was warm and friendly and we felt taken care of. Great Irish breakfast! We would definitely go back there.

IrelandSuper full Irish breakfast with fresh orange juice and good coffee. Dermot was very friendly and helpful. He gave me a map and explained a nice cycle I could do when I arrived, taking in an old road with lots of historic references. Cornamona is a beautiful area on the shores of lough Corrib. It was a perfect base for me to hike the Glencoaghan horseshoe.
IrelandDermot was a very hospitable host. It is not easy to stay in business in these Covid times.
