Property info

This detached stone cottage is in an elevated position on the fringes of Lettermore village, close to the sea in County Galway. The property dates back over 100 years, and used to be the village shop. Now, this building offers accommodation for up to six people, comprising of three double en-suite rooms, a kitchen with solid fuel stove, a utility room and a lounge with open fire and exposed stone walls. To make the most of the impressive views, there is also a sun room with French windows opening onto the garden. The cottage has been lovingly restored to provide spacious and welcoming accommodation, full of character and original features, yet still benefits from modern conveniences. Please Note - This property only accepts 14 night stays during April and May 2023

Neighborhood info

Located on a small island in the south west corner of County Galway, the pretty village of Lettermore is connected to the mainland by a narrow causeway. This village is home to a welcoming Irish pub, a small convenience store and traditional butcher's shop, and is also located in an area where the Irish language is still prevalent. This beautiful area of unspoiled countryside offers a wide range of walking and cycling opportunities, as well as great spots for water sports. There are numerous coves, beaches and inlets to explore along the coastline, in addition to great opportunities for sailing, fishing and scuba diving. The Connemara National Park is only a short drive away, whilst the Aran Islands are located just off the coast in Galway Bay.
