Warm welcome from our hosts, Bernie and Declan, who provided a lovely homely environment for our stay. The accommodation was spacious and the house had a lot of history to it which we loved. Breakfast was very good with plenty of fresh and homemade ingredients. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding in the area. It is the nicest b and b I have ever stayed in. The room was huge with the most comfortable bed and a great ensuite including a shower and amazing roll top bath. The owners were so kind and welcoming and the breakfast was so tasty. Already planning another trip back.

This was the best breakfast - fit for a King! This wonderful family strive for sustainability, and the ingredients are so tasty and fresh, straight from their farm. You'd be hard pushed to find as good in any 5 star hotel.

Beautiful house, in a peaceful and quiet location. Hosts were very friendly and offered tea /coffee upon arrival. We had a bedroom which was beautiful, large in size and extremely cosy. It’s an old house with beautiful old furniture. Our en-suite was huge. The view is good. There is no tv in the bedrooms but we didn’t mind as out all day. So quiet you can hear a pin drop.

Templemacateer is a delightful Country Home with large comfortable rooms and a tradition of hospitality. The 200 year house is set among mature trees and gardens, one mile west of Horseleap village midway between Dublin and Galway.
Top Attractions in the area are Clonmacnoise Monastic Site, Athlone Castle, Clara Bog &Visitor centre, Kilbeggan Whiskey Museum, Tullamore Dew , Kilbeggan Races, Belvedere House & Gardens, The Old Rail Trail Greenway cycle 42km Mullingar to Athlone, Mount Druid Wedding Venue.
