We had such a lovely stay in Salmon Island View. Bernie and her husband are so kind and such excellent hosts. We were attending day two of a wedding. We asked Bernie about organising transport to the pub and she organised a boat to drop us. It was such a lovely surprise! We will be back…

The owners were very pleasant and helpful. They provided food items that we could prepare ourselves, at any time during our stay. The bedroom and bathroom was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. We got to sleep in as the home was quiet. Also, there was a pub you could walk to for a meal and a beautiful Harbour just walking minutes away.

Lots of little extras to make your stay special. Lit fire in the evening, and you can cook a simple meal. Eat in front of the fire .... lovely ! Or, if you don't feel like cooking ... you can wander down to the pub a few doors down for a meal.

Everything was accommodated for. We had cereals, yoghurts, milk and juice in the room with tea and coffee. Anything else was available downstairs. Netflix and amazon prime in the room as well when the weather wasn't so good. Bernie was amazing and had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely stay with a lovely woman

  • Are there buses there from nenagh? If not, would a taxi be expensive?
    Hi no bus run from Nenagh to Dromineer unfortunately a taxi would cost about €15 / €17 to the best of my knowledge. Bernie.

    Yes you can fish from the lake side no licence needed open second to all courses finishing. Pike perch trout bream and roach. I hope this helps you...

Dromineer is a beautiful village the view around the shore are breathtaking. Yatch club. Shannon saline only minutes walk away. The whiskey still bar and restaurant is two doors away..lakeside cafe is within walking distance. If its a fishing trip you are looking for I can organise fishing boats. Lough Derg is one of the best fishing lakes in Ireland. Kind regards Bernie and willie.
I love meeting and greeting my guess and giving them a rundown on what is available in Dromineer or surrounding area and to answers any questions they might have.
Dromineer village is a hidden gem on the shores of lough Derg something for everyone to do in the village. We are situated in the centre of all Ireland and halfway stopover to all the major tourist attractions of the country. Coolbawn Quay wedding venue is 22 minutes away Ashley park homes is 13 minutes / 11.8 kilometres from the house.
