Bed was comfortable and the Irish breakfast was delicious. The host was very helpful and helped us plan our visit. It was great to stay for a couple of days to enjoy all the sites with no time constraints.

All around wonderful. Room and breakfast were both great and Geraldine’s homemade bread is the best I’ve had anywhere in Ireland. Both Geraldine and Ester are so friendly and accommodating and are very real and enjoyable to speak with. A stay at the Seacrest is a lovely bonus for anyone fortunate enough to visit this unique and fascinating island.

I was greeted by a very friendly host. The location is in a prime area a short walk from the fairy and behind the Aran Sweater Market. The place is very nice and clean. The room is spacious, the shower is nice and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and the host was really helpful in recommending what to do in the area. Renting a bicycle nearby was easy and visiting the Dón Aonghasa cliffs was an absolute dream. Very easy to get to and about a 45-1hour trek by bicycle and foot. Also, the Guatemalan/Argentinian Restaurant across from the Aran Sweater Market is phenomenal and The Bar is a good time to spend with locals.

An excellent location, close to the docks, bike rentals, pubs, and Spar. A VERY kind and welcoming staff, who provided personal care and attention at all times. Geraldine was amazing! And such a sweet dog!

  • When is the best time to visit your property for the perfect beach holiday?
    The best months would be between May and August. That would be the most likely months for it to be sunny but with it being Irish weather it is hard to know what it will be like. The beach is just across the road from us.

  • How far are ye from the pub?
    We are only a 2-minute walk from the nearest pub.

  • How do u get there from ferry? Walking distance? How far?
    We are about a 5-minute walk from the ferry port. When you get off the ferry you take a left and walk to the center of Kilronan. When you get to a large Celtic cross you take another left and we are the 3rd house on your right-hand side.

Seacrest Bed & Breakfast opened its doors over 23 years ago in the town of Kilronan, on Inis Mór, and is run by Geraldine Faherty and her husband Thomas. While Geraldine has created a bed & breakfast that is a warm and inviting environment for guests, Thomas works days giving tours of the island. Tours are available 7 days a week, and Thomas is well known for his fascinating stories about the island and how it has changed over time. Seacrest is very much a family-run operation. This comfortable and welcoming feeling can be felt during the entirety of your stay at the bed & breakfast, or your carriage tour around the island.
After emigrating from Ireland and starting a family in the United States for a number of years, Thomas and Geraldine Faherty decided it was time to return home. Seacrest was opened shortly after moving back to the island - an island on which Thomas' family has lived for 9 generations
