Great full irish breakfast included. The room had trouble with the heater but they gave us a space heater that worked.

Fabulous place to stay with stunning views and a lovely atmosphere. Great decor, warm and welcoming. Delicious cocktails. Beach baskets and towels a brilliant rouch. Couldn't be happier!

Allowing my sister-in-law and me to check in early after our very long plane ride from Hawaii. It made our stay before embarking on our tour of Ireland so much more relaxing.
Staff at the front desk and dining room were very friendly and helpful.

We used it mainly as base to visit Dublin (it's 20-30 minutes by tram) but spent some time walking down the harbour, it's quite beautiful and you can see people learning sailing. There's some museums and monuments worth visiting (sadly we didn't have enough time), and good places to eat. Make sure you try the fish & chips by the waterside. We were actually there for their local St. Pat's parade and it was such a great time!

Dun laoghaire is a special place to me.
Dun laoghaire is a special place to me. My gran swam almost every day in sandy cove. I've raced ironman 70.3 also from sandy cove. And the pier is always a place of memories as my aunt also lived nearby. I learned to sail in the harbour on visits as a kid. The town has a lively lovely coastal vibe.

Hotels offers a wonderful Breakfast for 15 euros and standard Pub menu for dinner usually with a daily special. The Pub was first rate and has plenty of beverages to select from, I would suggest a pint of Guiness. Parking is adequate although a little tight for larger sedans. The rooms are very well kept and bathrooms are supplied well. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I plan to use this Hotel for future visits to the Dublin area.

It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area.
It is a beautiful hotel in a lovely area. We had no view, so we couldn't really enjoy it. We were there for such a short time it was wasted on us. The room had a smell like sewer, but the beds were comfortable. The reservations desk seemed a little clueless.
The breakfast was really expensive, so we couldn't eat there and when i got recommendations for restaurants by the water, the reservationist lady only recommended one restaurant, Hardies, which was affiliated with the hotel. It was hard to get into and there were at least two other restaurants we could go to.

Lovely harbor town!
Lovely harbor town! Good public transport to/from, many restaurants and cafes, great views. We enjoyed walking along the harbor piers. We had great food at The Vanilla Pod, Gourmet Cafe, and Sushida! We used the DART to travel to Bray one day, went into Dublin and up to Howth other days. Wish we could have stayed longer!

My main issue is lack of good signposting for electric charge points for cars. The 2 spaces were I occupied by non electric cars. Hotel needs to do more to ensure Thai does not happen as it seriously impacted my onward journey not being able to charge my car overnight.
Fabulous, stately, well-maintained hotel - we were so delighted when we walked up! Excellent service, clean, comfortable room and beds. We even had a balcony and the view out the back of the hotel was lovely (even though it wasn't facing the sea). Perfect location for catching buses and DART, loved exploring the harbor area, and plenty of good restaurants and cafes close by. Kids had a great time in the pool and we enjoyed strolling through the garden. Would definitely stay here again / recommend it.
Stayed two nights at Claremont House last week. Ideally located near DART and easy access to Dublin city centre. Short walk to beautiful Dun Laoghaire and Sandycove. Daniel, owner of Claremont, has his own restaurant close by called "Daniels" - what a gem! It's small and cozy but the food produced is all fresh and mouthwatering and something you would expect from a Michelin restaurant - can't recommend it highly enough!!
If you want to experience what Ireland once was, book a night in this mini period house. I liked it very much. The room has a character of bygone times. The owners keep everything clean and tidy. With a map I found it without any difficulty. It was only a short 4 minute walk from Glenageary Dart Station. I chose traditional breakfast which was filling and very tasty. I'm grateful for this lovely experience.
The location is great if you want to visit Dublin (bus and Dart station nearby). Shops, cafès, bars and cinema are very close. The beach is 10 min walking from the hotel. The room was nice and quiet. It was great to have our own bathroom and the shower was spacious. Mina was a great host. She left some biscuits, a kettle and some tea and coffee in our room. Great idea ! We'd love to come back !
The owners are very kind, they also run a restaurant nearby. The breakfast is delicious and the house is clean and full of historic charm. Finally, Claremont House Is located in a lovely position, near the sea and Dun Laoghaire. Also, it is only 20-30 minutes by train from Dublin. I recommend it!
I love the reception lobby area where we sat had a lovely cappuccino and scone. The room itself especially with the sea view was beautiful. The beds were so so comfortable really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful beach location of Dun Laoghaire with its many restaurants and bars
Bfast 1 of best had in any hotel over past 30yrs! Service best ive had from any hotel. Fabulous 180 degree view of dublin bay frm their 1st class restaurant which is also used for bfast. Every member of staff we interacted with was friendly & very helpful
The only thing this property has going for it is location. It is convenient to the rail station into Dublin. Otherwise, it is not worth staying here and I suspect there are other options in the area, equally convenient.
Stunning building and location. Our bed was so comfortable, lovely room with balcony and sea view. We had a really peaceful stay.
The hotel is very spacious and homely. Helpful and friendly staff at reception.
The location is a 10! Near shops and restaurants and a few blocks from the DART. Quiet residential street. Great walking area. Older renovated home but fit our needs perfectly. Contactless check in.
Great Location to get in and out of Dublin. Good place to unwind amd slow down.
The gym was lovely. spa and pool were great amenities.
Continental breakfast was up to par.
really lovely staff and a really comfortable bed. quiet rooms easy to sleep. rang me as I left things in hotel and was still in Dublin so I could go back for them.
