Our Home is nestled into the beautiful Southern luscious green countryside of County Cork. 6 Minutes drive to Blarney Castle and the famous Blarney Stone, with views of Cork City - merely a 15 minute drive. The Irish emigrants song '40 Shades of Green' is evident as you gaze across the rolling hills and pastures, surrounding our home. We believe on a clear day you can look beyond the city of Cork up to 40KM distance. Why not have a cup of Coffee or homebrewed tea as you enjoy the tranquillity, away from the 'madding crowd', We want you to share our magic haven.
Our family reared and left home, we are not yet ready for 'retirement', we hope to share Irish hospitality with you, visitors to our friendly emerald Island . We enjoy meeting daily, new visitors and sharing each others stories, background and heritage. Fergus enjoys a game of Golf while Eucharia is an avid gardener.
The Second city of Ireland, Cork is 15 minutes drive, you can take a Hop on, Hop off Bus tour around the city and see the famous historic landmarks of an Ancient city, with history of 1000 years. Enjoy the old English market, The Bells of Shandon or sit by the leafy shade of the river lee. St Finbarrs Cathedral steeped in the history of Cork where 'FionnBarr' chose to build his first cathedral 1500 years previously after he sailed with his Monks from 'Gougane Barra; an iconic heritage site one hour West of Cork Cobh half an hour drive, is where 2 Million Irish had to leave their native shore for North American destinations. Boston, & Ellis Islands were their dreams and hopes. and why 40 Million Americans share 'The Celtic Bloodline'. Cobh Titanic's last Port of call in April 1912, picked 123 passengers and saw the Cork headland its last haven before meeting its fateful journeys end. In May 1915 Passenger Liner Luisitania neared the haven of Cobh and Kinsale, but just a little too far to save most of the lives aboard, as it quickly sank. 160 dead from Lusitania are buried in Cobh and a large Monument in Cobh marks the tragedy.
