Heritage property at an excellent location to explore Haridwar and not too far from Rishikesh. We had a Ganga view room with the swimming pool right at our doorstep. The 'Welcome Ritual' was a heartwarming surprise for us. All staff and concierge were very professional and friendly. The hotel private evening aarti ceremony was an introduction to what to expect from the Har Ki Pauri evening aarti. Day trips with local guides from 'The Adventure Team' to the holy temples were offered by the hotel. We also did the morning Ganga walk with the guide. There are a few restaurants at the property and staff were very helpful with suggesting local food. Highly recommend this hotel.

    Property is nice only concern the approach road. It's bit narrow if you are ok to drive down your car with tight parking lanes. This particular property is not having their own kitchen and having shared with opposite property. Rooms not fitted with kettle and lifts we need to do lot of up and down to get things done. Toilet conditions and room is good. I would summarize good for short economical stay.

    I'm Indian and can handle crowds and street food, hot kachori off the griddle.... I positively thrive on these... Some beautiful temples atop hills..Chandi Devi and Mansa Devi...take the ropeway...the arati at the Har Ki Pauri...awesome...and the rest of the throng of visitors believe so too! Use an auto..fixed rates..ask what time the streets are cordoned in the evening... The shopping is very interesting...hand embroidered bags and stoles...

    The autosphere and spiritual experience in Haridwar is...

    The autosphere and spiritual experience in Haridwar is amazing. Pure Indian culture and not too much "western" influence as Rishikesh. Being a part of the Ganga Aarti was powerful. Due to vacation period (may-june) it was a lot of people, but for me that just made the experience much more alive and real. I will come back and highly recommend Haridwar if you are looking for Indian culture, tradition, rituals and spirituality.

    Haridwar is land of hindu mythology...

    Haridwar is land of hindu mythology... Ganga which is worshipped as mother flows here.. it is always full of devotees. One can feel aroma of spirituality in air . So many temples to visit with extraordinary features. A life time visit one should not miss.. pure traditional Indian food cooked in open kitchen.. hotels, dharamshala, resorts, river bank hotels etc to suit every pocket. JAI SHREE RAM
