The resort is a bit conventional but the staff and their hospitality made a difference. The cottage style rooms are spacious and the view from the restaurant and viewing deck are great but no view as such from the rooms. The staff were accommodating with all our requests including providing beds on the lower level for our elderly parents since the beds are on the top level of the duplex cottages. During check-in the staff briefed us well. They had a spa too, although I would say it wasn't the best. The morning sunrise trek near the resort especially through the spice and tea plantations was amazing! The food as well was lovely but do allow 30 min preparation time as everything is prepared fresh. Breakfast was good too. It maybe worth noting the location of the resort is approx. 12km before Munnar town and there is a steep road to the resort. For us luckily we had an experienced driver. Overall I would say the staff who are always smiling and happy made a difference to our stay :)

MTCR is easily one of the top 3 resorts in Munnar. This is not a 5 start resort, but their hospitality & customer service deserve more than a 5 star rating. They made our 2 nights stay a memorable one. Everyone simply loved the place & people. Everything was perfect from the location, customer experience, restaurant, rooms, mountain view from Honeymoon villas, sunrise & sunset views, Spa was simply amazing. All staffs from front office, housekeeping, SPA, security all were very friendly and they took all the efforts to ensure that we were comfortable during our stay. Even the tour guide/taxi arranged was simply perfect and he took us to all the hidden/great attractions. Mathew, Thank you for the surprise cake, bed decorations, free upgrade etc you guys deserves a big round of applause for the amazing team work & keeping a fun filled/positive ambience in the resort. I'm, definitely coming back in a couple of months.
