Okegiga Homes is incredible, surrounded by jungles. Place is quite serene, preserve in it's pristine form. Feels like home away from home. The cozy tent has all the necessary comforts. The place was very clean. " Manas was an awesome host! He is very friendly and extremely helpful. He helped us in hiring a tempo to roam around the Majuli as well as he gave tips and a map of the place. Food at the okegiga homes was amazing and delicious. I loved my stay here and I highly recommend it.

The location of the cottage is at bay of Brahmputra river. Which is peaceful among lorge green amount of green 🌲 trees. Staff and manager are very nice fellows. I liked there stay very much.

The cleanliness, of course. Dip was a very kind host. Infact the first night I saw some kind of slugs inside the roof of the tent. Informed Dip about it, he without any delay send a guy with a bamboo to bring down the slugs. But on inspecting we found that they were not slugs , instead they were some kind of mud which looked alike a slug

Okegiga Homes, Majuli is an unique blend of Traditional Mising Bamboo and Mud house with Swiss Cottages and Dome tents, in Majuli, Assam, the world's largest river island. It is located in the bank of river Luit with beautiful tiny jungle and paddy fields. It has a total land area of 5 bighas with enough space for gardening and cultivation. Bathrooms and toilets are all attached with European Toilets. Okegiga Homes is a couple-friendly resort.
Founder and CEO, Okegiga Holiday Pvt. Ltd. An avid trekker, story writer cum poet. Certified Mountaineer from Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam. Had worked nearly 10 years for the Corporate World.
The neighbourhood is mainly the local missing tribal community. It is always a new thing to know their unique life style, their traditional bamboo plateform houses, their delicious food menu and the rice beer to drink. Getting Around: It is just 1 Km away from the small town area Garamur. District Administrative office as well as office of the Superintendent of Police are situated in Garamur. At nearly 4 km away there is the famous Uttar Kamalabari Satras and at nearly 2.5 KM the famous Garamur Satra. There are several Satras in Majuli spread all across its length and breadth. Satras are the old monasteries of Vaishnavism, which was once established by the Great Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankardeva.
