Our guesthouse is very homely, in one of the oldest houses in central Egilsstaðir. Homely & friendly atmosphere where guests can feel at home. Self service arrival and departure. The house has 6 rooms with shared bathroom two rooms with private bathrooms in Annes. Guests can use the kitchen to cook a simple meal. The house is located close to restaurants, cafe, swimming pool, view point and has a little park in the back.
We are husband and wife that run Guesthouse Birta & Guesthouse Olga, with some extra staff over the summer months. We opened Birta in May 2014 after changing a home into friendly & comfortable Guesthouse in great location in Egilsstaðir.
Comfortable homely guesthouse in great location, Shops, restaurants, bank and post office is in short walking distance -and a museum and the local swimming pool is on the same road. At the back is a small park with a playground for small children. One of the older houses in the old town of Egilsstaðir in leafy part of town. Great location to hike from -look at the hiking treasures of Egilsstaðir for lots of tracks. Egilsstaðir is best central location to explore east Iceland.
