Very friendly staff , delicious breakfast, all good

We stayed in a Beautifully appointed room with a comfortable bed and all necessities to make us feel comfortable. The bathrobes and mini chocolates were a nice touch. Breakfast was plentiful with a good variety of traditional Icelandic and continental fare.

Charming place with excellent restaurant and super nice staff. They gave us free upgrade from 3person room to 2room chalet that had a fully equipped kitchen. Food and service in their restaurant one of the best we encountered in Iceland. Totally worth visiting.

An old converted farmhouse with a lot of history, especially Anna, a well-travelled lady in the early- to mid-C20th - really great displays of the area, her history, and writings. Felt remarkably remote, especially the next morning, when it was snowing heavily(!), but welcoming, with really good food.
