Common area is beautiful and cozy. Staff was really friendly! Pretty standard breakfast options.

A Quiet area with peaceful view! Smooth check-in although we were late on the day. Cosy room with comfortable beds! There were a sauna and a jacuzzi free to use and we were served with a great breakfast! The hotel owner was super friendly and sweet. We were super lucky to stay there.

What a place. Quite a distance away from the main road but the dirt road is generally in decent condition. We had the entire place to ourselves which was incredible although it would have been nice to have some other travellers to fill the atmosphere a bit. We did come in October though, out of peak season. The lodge itself is beautiful with a huge deck and incredible views. If the northern lights appear, it would be an incredible view. Rooms were a little small and TV didn't work but it appears as though the place is for socialising in the main living/dining area. We used the kitchen as was offered, although the gas for the cooker was disconnected so we had to make do with our own portable cooker and the provided microwave. I'd recommend if you are travelling as a larger group or in more busy seasons.

This was the cheapest accommodation on our trip around Iceland and it wasn't a compromise. The room was fine, the bathroom was spacious and had a full shower cabin. The sauna was large, clean and hot. Guests were not offered breakfast at the time that we stayed, and the options around are limited, but you get access to a professional kitchen. The lounge area is large and glazed all around with stunning views to the mountains. The whole guesthouse is imaginatively decorated in the fishing theme as you might expect given the name. The guesthouse is away from the roads and was very quiet.

The location is wonderfull and the rooms are cozy and warm. Very, very clean! And the lady that welcomed us: learned a few things about Iceland and fishing from her! Great place to stay and visit the Eastfjords.
