Staff!!! Three ppl accommodated a tour bus full and a few car full of ppl who got stranded in a winter storm. The front desk attendant handled everything smoothly and efficiently. They worked well into the night to get everything settled. Good breakfast. The surroundings are picturesque, with a feeling of being out in nowhere. Beautiful antique-esque wood floors in the hotel.

Really unique lodge. The staff were helpful. We were the only ones there so it was dead quiet. The sauna was a treat. The plentiful self-serve breakfast was great.

The property had a hostel atmosphere (i.e., lively). It is located a short drive from Ring Road and conveniently accessible. It felt like it was a popular place. Rooms were very basic, as expected in a hostel setting. You have to collect keys from a different location as given in the instructions. The front desk was open very late. The hotel is located in a town. It has a well-equipped common kitchen which was heavily used when we were there.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm.
Our one-night stop turned into two due to a heavy storm. The hotel handled the situation very amenably. Good food in the hotel and also at the café and village shop in Breiddalsvik itself, which is about 5 km away. Fantastic scenery all round. Motor museum and brewery in the village with the opportunity to go for horse rides directly from the hotel.

It was a wonderful quiet town with lots of people who were very friendly. It seems that the town stays awake and serves food and drinks providing that people are their to eat and drink. Their service is first class.
we were late arriving but phoned ahead to let them know. The gentleman on reception was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - he even called the cook to serve us dinner! The food was delicious and breakfast was also good. This hotel was an amazing find in what felt like the back of beyond. A conversion of an old school with lots of interesting pieces of art and antiquities. We enjoyed our stay, thank you. If we're in Iceland again, I'd go out of my way to find it again!

The staff, facilities and overall "vibe" of this hotel was great! The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The rooms are all wood paneled and the bed was the most comfortable one we slept on in over 10 days out of the 5 hotels we stayed at in Iceland! We would definitely stay here again!
A Quiet area with peaceful view! Smooth check-in although we were late on the day. Cosy room with comfortable beds! There were a sauna and a jacuzzi free to use and we were served with a great breakfast! The hotel owner was super friendly and sweet. We were super lucky to stay there.
The hotel rooms are very lovely and the beds comfortable. There is a 24 hour sitting room with drinks and snacks available to buy and free coffee , this room was lovely. The reception staff were lovely. Breakfast was good as was the evening meal.
Service was wonderful, we had special circumstances for the visit and the staff was very accommodating, helpful and friendly the entire way. They went above and beyond what we expected for standard hotel service. Highly recommended
Convenient place to the stay when exploring south Iceland. The room was spacious, though it started to show its age. The hotel has nice common area with complementary coffee and tea. The restaurant offers good dinner options.
We were greeted with a wonderful happy vibe at this hotel! We enjoyed the bar, inviting library for sitting by the fire, and a wonderful breakfast. We would highly recommend this hotel. The views were amazing!
Excellent location, big room, and we loved the hotel lounge - very quaint and cosy with books, board games, and free tea & coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful.
We stayed in the chalet just behind the hotel which was great. Small little private cabin that had kitchen, table, everything we needed. Large breakfast buffet.
We booked at Hotel Post, but upon arrival we were "upgraded" to the neighbouring Hotel Breiddalsvik (same owners apparently), my evaluation reflects that place.
