BelgiumPerfect Location 😊 Helgafell is a very nice Spot for staying a few days. The nature around is great and our small house at the Lake was the best accomodation we had so far in iceland. Arriving there feals a bit like coming home. It is so cozy. On the table fresh fruits and choclate waites for us and in the fritch a bottle of milk. Many thanks to our very friendly host Lara 😊 we enjoyed our stay very much and we will definitly come back.

Helgafell is a historic farm, 7km from the popular town Stykkishólmur. On the farm Helgafell is a small mountain and the views from the top of it are beautiful in every direction and at the top you also find an old chapel where you can make three wishes. The cabin was ready for rent 1. august and is located by the Helgafell lake with a beautiful birdlife all around. it is 27 square and will have good conditions, comfortable bed and good sleeping sofa.
My name is Lára and I was born in Stykkishólmur 1984 where I lived until I was 23 or when I met my husband and moved to him at his farm Helgafell only 7 km away. My husband has lived in Helgafell all his live just like his father but Helgafell has been en they're family since 1880. We have six kids, two girls and four boys they are 17, 16, 12, 9, 6 and 1 1/2 years old.
At our farm are 270 cheeps, five horses and three dogs. Helgafell is only 7 km away from the populated town Stykkishólmur where it is possible to visit museums, there is nice swimming pool, good restaurants, you can go in tours on sea and there is a supermarket. also Bjarnahöfn is only 20km away where is also a museum and you can try they're famous shark. Many good hikes are here in Helgafell and all around.
