The Holiday Guesthouse is really comfortable and cozy. It has everywhere those cute little notes which tell you where everything is and what you can do :) It contains everything that's necessary and more extras like cereals and sauces but if you need something the supermarket is directly around the corner. And Monika is such a nice and welcoming person, it's really lovely to chat with her :). I loved my stay in Holiday Guesthouse <3

It was wery clean, nicely furnished, good priced. Coffe, tea, cornflakes, marmelade.... is available for free, so we had to buy only bread for breakfast, and the shop is next door. The owner is very kind, talkative; gave us much information where to go, what to see. Overall great experience.

There are only a few very good people in this world, and Monica is one if them. We had all kind of unfortunate misadventures when we first got to Iceland and she went above and beyond to help us. I am extremely grateful for every thing she did for us. If It weren't for her, we wouldn't have had winter tires on our rented car and wouldn't have been able to continue with our trip. If you are looking for a place to go, juste go there! Also, the accomodations where great and very clean. Bonus: There are Lord of the Rings puzzles as decorations on the walls and I Loved them!

Excellent location. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Easy to self check in. Well thought out accommodation with excellent facilities for guests. Extremely comfortable. Plenty of space. Beds were extremely comfortable. My son slept in a bunk and us in a double. We all slept well. Stykkisholmur itself is a fascinating village on so many levels.

Cosy apartment with private rooms and shared bathroom and living room on ground floor. Well equipped, neat and clean. Host/owner Monika is very nice, caring, we had nice talk in the morning. Nice place to stay in Stykkishólmur.

This small family owned guesthouse is only decorated with hand made things by the family; the aim is to make it feel like home.
Stykkisholmur is small beautiful town, the harbour is one of the most beautiful in Iceland. Stykkisholmur is the village in Greenland both in the film "The secret life of Walter Mitty" and the TV serie "Thin Ice"
