SAXA Guesthouse
Fjardarbraut 41, 755 Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland – Great location - show map
We had a small own room with separate entrance outside the building. It had a small water heater with tea and coffee and our own spacious bathroom. The hosts made it possible for us to have breakfast in our room, which is otherwise served in the main building / café. This was great and and also had vegan options (butter, spread and cheese!). Thank you very much for your hospitality.

the couple (Icelandic and polish) who owned the guesthouse could not have been more helpful. it’s a new venture for them and they are working very hard creatively to make it a success. breakfast was lovely with hot options and great selection of cereals, fruit and milks for different diets. it was a great stop off for us. clean, comfortable and friendly

Saxa guesthouse is located almost half way of the eastern fjords in a beautiful harbour location near Petra’s house and stone musem. Our room was comfortable with everything you need such as a warm shower and cosy bed. Breakfast is served at the saxa caffè. But overall, the staff was really welcoming and talked about the history of the city and ship wreckage. If you like the paintings don’t hesitate to ask

The breakfast was great and had some vegan options as well. The host answered late in the night and provided adequate information for a self check in process.

We really liked our room. It was very big and warm. The bed was comfortable and I liked that there was a coat rack. The view out of the window was beautiful.
Everything was very nice. The room was clean and very big. There was enough space for an additional baby bed inside. The host are very very kindly and did all they can to make us have a comfortable stay at their house. Thanks a lot for all!

Breakfast was delicious. Common areas were spacious. Rooms had own toilet/shower.

Nice place on the main road but very quiet. Room was very new and clean. Great shower and confortable beds. Good International breakfast with fresh products

Lovely comfortable room. Great shower, comfy bed, quality bed linen. Basic deco and my personal opinion, perhaps they are putting the "finishing touches" bit by bit. No TVs if that's important to you, but a social area for tea and coffee plus pool table, darts and big screen for any TV watchers. Great breakfast and good selection if you want an evening meal.

It was a great community place- staff was very kind full of young people. Great value for money, appropriate breakfast and the reception served as a cafe, bar / restaurant. Gas station was directly in front of the place (not in a disturbing way). Tea, coffee was available for guests at all times as well as water boiler. We arrived late and we received quick response about check in.
