Our comfortable 2 bed apartment is on the 2nd floor of a small condominio overlooking the countryside but within easy walking distance of the marina and the beautiful historic center of Otranto. Otranto beach is also within easy walking distance with Alimini beach and lake just a short drive away. Fully equipped for 5 people the apartment consists of a lounge with flat screen TV and double sofa bed. The living area has a corner kitchen with a fridge, gas hob, electric oven and extractor fan, dining area for 6, intercom and balcony with table and chairs overlooking the countryside. The fully tiled refurbished bathroom has a shower enclosure, sink, toilet and bidet. There is 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom (which can be used as a double) which has an en-suite utility room with toilet, sink, radiator, new boiler and washing machine. The apartment has on road parking, no permit required, and a private roof terrace with views. Gas, electricity and WiFi are included as are initial towels (excluding beach towels)and bed linen (if a change of towels/bed linen is required during your stay there is a small additional charge payable direct to the keyholder).

We first visited Otranto in 2010 and fell in love with it's wonderful atmosphere, beautiful scenery, marina and tight little alley ways. We have always felt relaxed in Otranto and have visited year after year. Otranto is conveniently located for travelling around sightseeing but also offers a complete holiday for those who do not wish to travel having the marina and beach and the historic center which is full of history and offers a wide range of restaurant, bars and shops. In July Otranto hosts a Jazz festival and throughout the season there are street activities with entertainers and markets.

Otranto lies on the Adriatic sea with it's historic centre, still enclosed within the walls of the castle, offering a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants. A walk around the outside walls of the castle or a stroll along Otranto's beautiful promenade gives breathtaking views over the marina and harbour and Otranto cathedral is a truly atmospheric place with it's extraordinary floor mosaic. Lecce can be reached by train from Otranto train station or by car (35 minute drive) and Santa Maria De Leuca, the most southern part of Italy's heel, with its beautiful church and imposing light house can be reached by car in around an hour. Closer by you will find beautiful towns and villages such as Maglie, Mauro Leccese, Porto Bidasco, Castro and Santa Cesarea Terme. There is a local market in Otranto on Wednesday and Maglie holds a larger market on Saturday
