It is rated as 1 star hotel but actually it looks better even than some 3 star hotels I've stayed into. Many thanks to Andrea for his help and precious information.
RomaniaAlbergo was fantastic- location was a bit a way from the main drag (so noise wasn't an issue) the room was exceptionally clean and well-maintained and the owner, Andrea, is so helpful, friendly and genuinely interested in us as visitors, and a font of very useful information (especially regarding hiking from town to town). We would recommend the Albergo to stay

I don't usually spend time to write reviews, but my fiance and I were so impressed with Andrea that we really wanted to make sure to recommend Albergo Al Carugio to anyone needing a place to stay in Cinque Terre. I'm so glad we found this place and would definitely stay again!

United States of AmericaThe hotel is in an excellent location and it's one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to. There are shutters to block light and noise, air conditioning and the beds are very spacious and comfortable. Andrea was so helpful and recommended all the best places in Monterosso, indeed he was right. And I think he's one of the nicest people I've met in Italy!

He was also able to give great recommendation and help us make reservations and travel arrangements. The location was perfect and the rooms were very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Albergo Al Carugio is located just 500 feet from the coast and its beautiful beaches. Boasting a furnished terrace, it offers a great location filled with shops and restaurants, and rooms with a private bathroom.
All rooms are simply decorated and fitted with tiled floors. Each comes with a TV, and a work desk. Some rooms also have free Wi-Fi access.
At the Carugio Albergo you can sit and relax on the terrace, there are plenty of tables and chairs.
Monterosso Train Station is 2,650 feet from the hotel. Genoa city and Genoa Colombo Airport can be reached in 1.5 hours by car.
