Great location indeed but a little hard to find. Hosts were lovely and gave good advice and suggestions. Simple cold garden breakfast of fruit, pastry toast etc was nice touch . Good coffee. Felt safe and secure in property and out walking about the streets .

We loved our stay at b&b allo squero - it was the prefect calm, quiet base we were looking for during a quick trip to the Venice Biennale. Nothing super fancy, but felt cozy (particularly in the stormy days we were there) with rooms looking out over a canal, and is well-equipped with everything you could need. Ideal location in a quiet part of Cannaregio, very close to the Alilaguna boat service to the airport from the Fondamente Nuove stop, close to a number of excellent restaurants, and tucked away from the more touristy streets. Andrea was incredibly kind and helpful - even packed us a take-away breakfast for the morning we had to leave super early to the airport.

I loved that the apt was right on a canal. Our host, Andrea was super friendly, for example, letting us keep our luggage at the B&B after check out. Breakfast each morning in the garden was very pleasant.

The location is fantastic - a great neighborhood, you can walk to anywhere in Venice from here and if you need them, Vaporetto stops are very close by. Our host Andrea was very precise in his instructions on how to get to the property even offering to meet us if we got lost. It rained a couple of days during our stay and Andrea even had umbrellas for us to borrow. We even enjoyed his restaurant recommendations.

Esiste ancora una Venezia poco conosciuta, centrale, ma non toccata dai circuiti del turismo di massa. Il B&B “Allo squero” è un angolo molto suggestivo: una casa con giardino lambita su due lati dall’acqua dei canali. Le finestre delle camere si affacciano sul canale offrendovi lo spettacolo dei riflessi sull’acqua. Il giardino un tempo fu uno “squero” il cantiere dove venivano costruite gondole ed altri natanti tipici. Qui, col bel tempo, sarà servita la colazione, sotto una pergola di glicine.

The location is excellent - a comfortable distance from any type of cultural/artistic objective (15-20 minutes) The place is very quiet and clean. Also, the neighborhood is quite attractive with nearby amenities (a Coop, a vegetable and fruit stall and a newspaper/magazine stall), and also friendly locals and tidy streets. But the thing that stood out was the host and his B&B. Very cozy, with an interesting collection of books (about Venice and Italy) and objet d'art. The host is a long-time resident of Venice and the house with the garden has been his home for a long time, so expect it to be well maintained. Also, he was very helpful, providing any information that was needed and even more (he warned us about a high-level aqua-alta on the day of our departure and also took care that we would have a takeaway breakfast on our early departure) - truly, very respectful and caring. I can only recommend this location, especially for couples, as it is intimate and quiet. Moreover, it will give you the chance to interact with real locals and experience Venice differently from the usual (and mostly superficial) way of mass-tourism.

A budget property and considering what we paid in other parts of Italy for much nicer rooms or apartments yet less expensive this was quite expensive for the type of accommodations. This place needs a little TLC...If a little time was taken to clean up the garden of construction type debris ,patch up some of the walls, remove cob webs from front entrance table, paint the front door from the street ,clean or replace the stained little bedside lamp shades and add a little art to the bare plywood walls , the impressions of the property would have been so much better with these simple, inexpensive improvements. Lastly a tv in the room would be nice for news etc. Looked like the wires hanging from wall may be in prep for it.....

A bit difficult to find. Quite expensive, but this is Venice. Owner not resident, although this caused no problem.
Easy to reach from the airport on waterbus and then fairly short walk. Our room faced direct onto a small canal so craft of various sorts going by. Breakfast was quite satisfactory and outside on the patio. Room was of a reasonable size and quite comfortable. Location good for reaching shops, restaurants etc., but quiet, which we like. Owner helpful with information.

There was nothing we didn't like, it could be quite difficult to find the B&B in the dark, a torch is handy when trying to find it for the first time, though if you follow Andrea's instructions it is only 10 minutes for the boat stop at Fontamente Nove & we didn't get lost!
The location is perfect, out of the crowds completely but only 10 minutes walk to Rialto Bridge. Breakfast was taken in the beautiful garden each morning, very peaceful. Andrea gave us great advice as to the best way to go about travelling around Venice.

Lives up to its reputation as a delightful guest house - with a most helpful host. The location is not central but that has its merits - a peaceful area, with more locals than tourists - and good value for Venetian accommodation offering both a garden and canalside rooms. No TV in the room but do you need that in Venice?

The walls are quite thin, so you can easily hear other guests in the morning or evening.

The view over the neighbours' courtyard wasn't the best, the price is a bit steep but it's actually ok for Venice.
Andrea and his wife are very nice and helpful hosts, the breakfast was pretty good and we loved the homemade cake and the good coffee. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location, 5min from Ca d'Oro Vaporetto stop and 5min walk from Rialto Bridge was top-notch.
