Medieval Monticchiello is a ZTL but driving is permitted to parking at the B&B (otherwise park nearby but outside of the walled area). Room was comfortable and mostly quiet but there was some loud, booming music in the village which lasted into the night (one night of two).

It was a real treat to stay in Monticchiello, which (unlike some of the other hilltop Tuscany villages we visited) has a very authentic feel, without tourist shops everywhere etc. It is a lovely village to walk around, and there's a beautiful view of Pienza and the valley from the village gate. Our room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable, and it was great to have use of the big living room downstairs where we opened a bottle of prosecco in the evening and lit the fire. Being a B&B guest entitled us to a discount on our dinners at Restaurant Daria where the food was delicious. And Daria's daughter Deborah is very lovely and helpful.

This was such a surprise treat, we wished we could have stayed longer! The town of Monticchiello is adorable and this B&B sits up on the hillside. We had a wonderful view from our room and were able to eat dinner at their Michelin star restaurant. It was delicious and had an excellent wine selection! Debra also was able to help us with booking a tour at a winery if we wanted or a renting bikes to explore the country side. Thank you for helping make our honeymoon so special!

What a paradise !!!! Wonderful facility, great room. The beautiful garden is full of lavender, jasmine, rosemary, sage which fill the area with delicate aromas. The location is fantastic, the view astonishing. Breakfast is excellent and Daria restaurant serves delicious food. Sig.ra Daria and the whole staff are very kind and helpful. Highly recommended.

The house is amazing! The garden with the tiny pool is really wecloming and calm. With a glass of wine a book it's the island of tranquality. Daria was super nice to us, she show us everything around. The house and the kithcen is very well equipped, the room was comfy. They also have a superb restaurant 2 min away. The town is also super cute, we ahve spent more days without leaving it, just sitting there, reading, having a glass of local wine and gins - it is a place where you can really rest and enjoy your time.

Debrah the host is amazing and helpful, the B&B is lovely, parking was perfect, the town was my favourite in Tuscany, Daria restaurante was outstanding , the locals are charming, the town is prestine, the walls of the town have a wonderful walkway that’s lite up at night.
