Property info

On top of the Serratore hill, in front of the Church of St. Francisco of Paola which was built during the eighteenth century, stands the Palazzo Policastri. It was built by the Policastri family in the second half of the 19th century. In 2018, siblings Ida and Ferdinando renovated parts of the building representing the characteristics of it and its history. This history is remarkable for Corigliano as well since Costantino Mortati was born in one of the rooms of Policastri Palace on the 27th of December in 1891. He was a jurist, academic and rector and one of the founding fathers.

Located in a unique natural setting, the B&B Policastri offers the possibility to satisfy the needs of those who love both the mountains and the sea. In less than ten minutes, you can reach the very long white beaches in the seaside town: Schiavonea; while, in the other side, in about an hour it is possible to admire the beautiful landscapes of The Sila National Park and The Pollino National Park. For those who want to immerse themselves in ancient culture and history, you can’t waste the opportuinity to visit both the Archeological Park in Sibari and its museum and the Codex Purpureus Rossanensis in Rossano recognised World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
