“The house is a historic building right in the middle of that labyrinth of alleys and canals that Venice is famous for. The apartment is on the second floor, has two storeys and is altogether quite huge. From the bedroom at the end of the hall one can see a small canal that is frequented with delivery boats for the shops in the ground floor. That's quite a view if you haven't seen such a thing before. The view of the neighbouring buildings is not any less spectacular. The entrance to the building is at the side of a small square from where basically everything is in walking distance. Next to the entrance is small café. More of those as well as a bakery, a grocery store and pizza place are a few minutes away (if you don't get lost in the alleyways).”

“The website photos are accurate but I was unsure which were of the one we reserved until our arrival. To our surprise, our queen bed unit included a private full-size bath, kitchen, living and dining area on the second level. This one did not have an outdoor terrace. Thought these spaces might have been shared, but it was our own private area-- an entire 13th century beautiful flat in Venice! Clean place, modern kitchen. The place is about an 8 min walk from the San Stae vaporetti stop, which is also an Alilaguna stop to the airport. Very convenient. Owners were very helpful. Met us at SStae stop, and also responsive by WhatsApp. Was there early November so no need for air conditioning, but needed heat, which they had. It was an extremely comfortable place. Still in awe.
