Really a Nice and quite place. The surroundings were so beautiful!! Food in the restaurant was great. Fantastic hiking routes!! Only downside was that the buses were very infrequent and it made it difficult to get around. I will definitely be back!

Surrounded by trees and mountains on Lake Garda's shores, Campione Univela Hostel is 3.1 miles from Limone. It offers on-site water sports facilities, a private beach, and a furnished sun terrace with mountain and lake views.

눉The trip with public transportation from and to the airport (Bergamo) was very long and it was very expensive to park in the hotel.

눉The staff was borderline rude, most of them do not speak English. I emailed the hotel before getting there, asking about the water sports and got no reply, so I though I could perhaps book stuff when I got there. When we got there, they told us we had to have our own equipment and there was no place close by to rent equipment either. They do not offer shower gel/shampoo etc., you have to buy it from vending machines. Parking is also paid. The service at the restaurant/cafe was also pretty bad. We ordered the Tiramisu which was also disappointing. Getting to the hotel is also pretty tricky, you have to go in a tunnel where you lose GPS reception and then end up missing the turn to this hotel, so follow the graffiti in the tunnel.

눉You can't take food to the room, which I think comes from the nature of the Hostel, being a sport resort. The surcharge for the lake view was too high, after midnight you are not able to get into the parking place, which is closed with a gate, and you don't really have other options to leave your car.
눇Breakfast was fine, the room was clean, staff friendly. The location of the Hostel is very good, no noise around, spectacular view to the lake (for additional fee), we really enjoyed our stay but were mainly leaving in the morning and coming back late afternoon.

눉The sun is hiding behind a rock at 15:00 and from that moment the hotel remains in the shadow so the sunbathing is not possible. No beach, no stair to the water, swimming is not possible because you can't enter the lake from the shore. Then there is no shower to eventually splash yourself with some water. The staff is never smiling, is pretending to be too busy to answer your GOOD MORNING or GOODNIGHT. I had impression that the reception was looking for making problems instead of solving them and helping guests.

눉Approach of staff (2 people in reception) was not sufficiently positive. The room we've got was the very last to the stone side, so any lake view. Though during the booking reservation it was demonstrated the room with excellent lake view. It did not meet our expectations. If it was really last option available, we expected less price, unfortunately non has counted our wish. In bathroom shower and toilet are without distance and wall, so everything was pretty wet after family bath. No towels in hostel also created inconvenience..

눉Slow or no wifi (everybody get an unique code for 3 days), the restaurant has higher prices, don't expect hostel prices. Breakfast is served every day exactly the same. After one week you dont know what to eat. Staff don't speak too much english. We had to pay accomodation all together, no separately, other czech couple told us, they had to pay only in cash, they could not pay by card! It was humorously oftentimes, nothing seriously wrong.

눉The town is a bit too isolated. Some watersports should be included in the price and the laser rentals are a bit overpriced.
눇The facilities are perfect for watersports. The restaurant was very good and prices were very reasonable. It's the perfect place for those that want to start with sailing.

눉The staff gave me the wrong information about the bus timetables. I trusted my own judgement luckily, as the only bus I could have got was around 3 hours earlier than explained on reception. I think this is because they are not used to public transport in this area of Italy. I would say it is definitely somewhere you need your own transport. There was quite a lot of dust around the bed, but other than that it was very clean. Must have just missed the harder to reach parts. Also the staff are not used to English, you can get by but they are clearly more set up for the German market.
눇Its a beautiful place, with the most incredible surroundings. It would have been better to stay a little longer - maybe two nights, and make the most of the facilities on the lake. The breakfast was brilliant - lots of choice. Rooms were very modern and the shower was excellent.
