Hotel Piazza Bellini & Apartments, hotel in Naples

Set in a 16th-century building, Hotel Piazza Bellini & Apartments is in Naples’ historical center, 984 feet from Dante Metro.

Excellent location near Napoli Archeological Museum. Very walkable location overall - near restaurants & shops. Hotel was in a safe location; with attentive & helpful staff. Check in process was easy, and we were able to store our bags at the desk until our unit was ready. We traveled with a group of 7 (adults/teens/grandparents), and reserved 2 "family" rooms, that were close together. The elevator was nice for our older travelers. The room was clean and comfortable. The in-unit stairs up to loft bedroom may be harder to navigate for older folks with mobility issues (our parents were fine). The hotel staff was able to troubleshoot an issue with A/C unit when we arrived, and had fans available. The hotel restaurant had an excellent breakfast (was included in our stay) with a big variety of items to choose from! We would definitely stay here again!

FAQs about hotels in Naples

Vibrancy, Vespas, Vesuvius

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.

At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.

While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!

Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.

As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.

Historical districts full of everyday life, noise and traffic (beware of the scooters), fish and vegetable stands on the street and then behind a corner quiet alley, flats on the ground floor, stairs, park to sit and rest. It was great fun to walk the city without a plan. Remarkable high places allowing You to look at Naples and the Bay from above at different angles. Great trips from the city - Path of Gods on Amalfi Coast, Pompei, Nisida - this is what we managed to visit during 6 day stay. And there is a lot left for the next visit.

Naples was an experience. A very "edgy" city.

Naples was an experience. A very "edgy" city. A bit dangerous crossing the road. Not for the faint-hearted. Vibrant. A 24 hour city!! Had one excellent pizza and one not very good at a restaurant near the station. Best to get into the real heart of the city perhaps for the best food. The train to Sorrento was good and it was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle for a day.

    Very interesting, very crowded.

Very interesting, very crowded. Lots of eateries in the historic district but most of them not good quality. Be careful of prices and change. A lot of attempted cheating. Follow your host and tour book recommendations. Initially questioned why we stopped here (after 2 weeks in Sicily), but really glad we did. Waited 2 hours to eat at Ancient Pizza. Experience worth it but Pizza wasn’t. View of Naples Harbor from stop on on/off bus spectacular. Food at Volga excellent. Naples Duomo different than others. Walk, walk, walk. We toured Pompei and Amalfi from Salerno. Much saner city.

The central train station was great and the archeological museum was wonderful. However, I won't return to Naples. It was so dirty, covered in trash, smelly and overal just unwelcoming. I have traveled to Rome, Milan, Florence/Tuscany, Venice, Aosta and heard Naples was unclean compared to them, but I was honestly shocked at the disgusting state of the city. Very little pride from the citizens living there. I would strongly suggest staying near Pompeii or Herculaneum instead of commuting.

    • People are friendly • It is very safe

    • People are friendly • It is very safe • Almost every place takes card, I used cash but was surprised to learn even fruit stands accepted card. I didn't need the cash at all. • Most hotels and booking venues charge a separate fee that must be pain in cash on arrival, but it's very low. • Food and drinks are delicious and cheap • Best to make reservations for certain restaurants or eat a bit earlier (7pm) or later (10pm) if you don't have a reservation. Most restaurants will take you in you just have to wait a while. • Try to stay near city center. Everything is very walkable, not once did i use public transportation. • Try as much local food as possible. You don't need a 4 star restaurants to have amazing food in Naples. It's amazing no matter where you go.

The property was truly outstanding! Nestled right in the heart of the city next to the magnificent Duomo, the building itself exuded Italy's captivating ancient architecture. The breakfast spread was amazing! We were served so many different kinds of pastries, cold cut meats, jams, Nutella, smoked cheese, juices for kids, espresso for me. The room was beautiful with a great view! Location was at the center of many attractions, metro stations, shopping, supermarkets. The owner was super nice and very helpful giving us great advice of places to eat, events happening nearby, popular sites, etc! We visited Italy for 3 weeks and this was probably our favorite hotel that we stayed at!

A short taxi ride from the Garibaldi train station, it surrounded by night life, restaurants and college aged people. Once through the doors on the street, you barely heard the sounds of Saturday night. The staff came back after hours to let us check in after a quick phone call. Rooms are clean and a good size on two levels. Breakfast was good but no protein. Staff helped us locate a self service laundromat. I wish we stayed longer. A very good value for Italy.

Nice hotel to spent some time in Naples a little bit like a local. It's situated in a good neiborhood, on an authentic street. You must open few doors to get into your room and there are apartments of the locals around. The room was big and nice. And the view from the terrace was extraordinary. Breakfast is typical for Italy, coffee and croissant. It's tasty and situated in Pasticceria near by. You can feel the real vibe of the city here.

I love the location here. It is very close to the Spanish quarter which is a good place for a meal at night time. The hotel gives you very clear instructions on how to reach them before arrival (they include pictures). It's not always easy to find your hotel in Italy so this was extremely helpful. Tomb itself was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was impressive! As was the breakfast which is served to you in your room.

LHP Napoli Palace & Spa had comfortable rooms, attentive staff, and a great breakfast spread. The Francy Restaurant dinner was well made and a well served. The best parts of the hotel, though, are undoubtedly at its top and bottom levels - the rooftop bar and pool, and spa, respectively. They both helped us acclimate to Italy quickly and comfortably after a long journey from the US.
