Casa Giada B&B is located in the heart of Salento just 3 km from the most popular beaches of Gallipoli, including Baia Verde, Punta Suina and Costa Brada. 5-7 Km from Gallipoli, and 37 km from the city of Lecce. The nearest airport is Brindisi, 71 km from the property. The whole house is offered exclusively to guests with all the comforts and conveniences inside and outside the resort. The place, being located in the countryside, is very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. All rooms are furnished with a king size bed, a sofa bed (only a few), a chest of drawers, a desk with chairs, a large mirrored wardrobe and a private bathroom with shower. The abundant breakfast buffet is offered every morning with various local and continental products, including fresh and artisanal, both sweet and savory. Other extra services are: Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, use of kitchen, use of washing machine, large living room, porch, garden with oven and barbecue, and parking space inside the fenced and monitored video surveillance in the entire property. We also have some bicycles available which we offer to our guests free of charge.
Roberto La Vita is your main host. He was born in Salento and grew up from the age of 12 in Florence, lived almost 25 years in the United States and since 2007 returned to live in Salento most of the year where he owns and manages a property near Gallipoli, Casa Giada B&B. His academic education is in architecture, interior & graphic design, art, and has also worked professionally as an art director, interior and graphic designer in New York. He always had an interest and passion for environmental and social issues, sustainable agriculture, medicinal plants, organic gardening, traveling, as well as artistic activities for painting, sculpture, architecture, and writing. Roberto will welcome you, and would be happy to host you anytime! Giacomo, Roberto's son, and his wife, Jeanai, will be happy to assist you during their summer stay. They live in New York during the off-season. Giacomo was born in Florence, Italy, grew up in the USA, and works as a professional guitarist. Jeanai, who was born in the USA, is a professional opera singer and speaks French, German and Italian. They perform as soloists and together as the La Vita Duo.
The historic center of Gallipoli is spectacular for its entertainment evenings. Lecce is known for its beautiful Baroque churches and magnificent works of art and craftsmanship. Their beaches are unspoiled, nominated in the annual Travelers 'Choice Awards', and awarded each year with a 'Bandiera Blu' and '5 Vele'. The summer weather is very hot, cooling off only in the late evening, when local cities come alive with all kinds of fun events, adults and children dance the traditional Pizzica. Every evening in the summer months there is a festival or "festival" in each village, and they promote traditional foods, mainly seafood, fresh cheeses, handmade pasta, bread or 'friselle' topped with fresh tomatoes, basil and extra oil virgin olive oil. Salento offers travelers a wide range of attractions including enchanting landscapes, sandy and rocky beaches with pristine sea and plenty of nightlife with concerts and popular festivals. In addition, important archaeological sites and places of great historical interest of prehistoric and ancient origin, from the Bronze Age to the Messapic civilization and then from Magna Graecia to the Roman Empire.
