IrelandThe staff here are second to none. Every single one of the people we met during our 3 night stay were wonderful, welcoming, helpful and generally made us feel very happy and comfortable. Breakfast was great, a selection of fruit, cheeses, hams, bread, cakes, yogurt and biscuits are brought to the table, along with cereals, cakes and biscuits from the the help yourself bar, you can also order eggs and bacon from the chefs, we ate very well every morning! They have a wonderful terrace where you can order drinks with complimentary aperitifs along with some incredible views of the lake. The location is absolutely perfect, a short 2 minute walk to the harbour or the church square down a quiet road. Views of the lake are outstanding! We stayed in the very top room and every morning looking out at the lake when we woke was amazing. This hotel is on the pricey side, but well worth it considering how lovely our stay was. Next time we are in Varenna we will definitely stay here again.
