There is nothing about not to like a stay in a revamped 11 th century castle.
Just WOW and we would love to go back there one day. The food and staff are exceptional. The decor-outstandingly delicious and is a treat in itself.
Todi is the feed in town. Totally medieval and a must visit in Italy

Agriturismo is in a great location on a farm outside of Melezzole. Rooms each had double bed and a single gle bed with a bathroom, all were clean and comfortable. The host was lovely - met us on our arrival and prepared breakfast in the morning.
Set amidst olive groves and sunflower fields, La Fortezza Alta is part of a restored 14th-century fortress, located 4 km from Avigliano.

We had an amazing stay as a family of 5 (children aged 12, 10 and a 1 year old baby). The property and location were absolutely beautiful, rustic and charming.
The children loved the animals, there was a pig wandering around, chickens, 2 donkeys and 3 friendly dogs they enjoyed stroking. The grounds meant the children could play safely outside and as mentioned adored the animals.
Everyone we encountered at the property and in the town were very friendly.

If you are looking for some peace, quiet and tranquility, this property offers precisely this! Beautiful autumnal mornings with coffee on the porch, looking at the mountains and listening to birds (and crows)...
The property is spatious, well equipped and self-contained.
Comfortable beds, clean kitchen and utensils, plenty of space to dine, wonderful outdoor area and am sure the swimming pool is also fab in summer months.
My kids and I felt safe and enjoyed our stay here.
