Hotel is 15 min. Away from the train station walking, it is in a pretty safe area with tons of shops around and close to the main square. Also the Port of Sorrento is about 20 min. Away walking. Staff is great and breakfast was awesome.

I think probably a phone call or more communication beforehand would have been wise. We tried to move to another room but were not able to. The room was very small but clean and we figured we wouldn't be spending that much time there anyway. The best thing about the Gardenia is the staff. They were always very friendly and accomodating. Also a pretty good breakfast spread. They have Hampton Inn beat in that catgory.Only a 15 minute walk to Sorrento shops and resturants. And there are plenty of both!

LatviaA great location, at the entry into the city of Sorrento. The property made for the perfect base to explore the region during the day(Pompeii and other sites), while providing easy evening access to downtown with all its cafes , shops, terraces and restaurants in around 15 minutes walking distance. Parking on site is available, convenient and very affordable. Staff and management were exceptional. This property was suggested by Booking.com after another property (arguably overbooked) canceled our reservations just within days before our stay. Hotel Gardenia gracefully stepped in with class and excellent disposition. Thanks to them our stay in Sorrento was memorable.
