Yes, Malpensa is the nearest and the easiest airport to arrive & reach Menaggio. It is approx. 108 km. The Lugano airport is closer but is not served with many flights/air companies.

From Basel you should take the train until Como or Lugano, the nearest train stations. Once there you can catch a bus to reach Menaggio. At your disposal for any further information

There is no airport public transfer. From Varenna-Esino take a train to Bergamo changing in Lecco (about 1 hour and 15 minutes travel time). Than take a shuttle bus or a taxi to Orio al Serio (about 10/15 minutes travel time).

The hotel closes in the evening and we not have overnight service but late check-in are possible if accorded at latest in the afternoon of the arrival day by providing passports or ID cards in advance.

No, we haven't but there are dry cleaning laundry near the hotel. The self service one, is approx. 1 km far from the center.

We do not have private parking spaces. Following the road along the lake side you will find the first 300 meters with payment parkings; blue spaces 1 €/hour (8 am - 8 pm). After the blue spaces, you will find the free parkings area.

Hi, we have only the reception on the ground floor. Rooms are all on the 1st, 2nd, 3r and 4th floor and we do have a lift. The bed can be with 2 twins instead of 1 double with a min. stay of 3 nights.

It is Malpensa. The distance from Malpensa airport to Menaggio is approx. 108 km. By rental car: You follow the indications for the motorway A8 direction Milano and then you pick up the A9 Como – Chiasso. Take the last exit Como Nord (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland). When you arrive at a circus, turn left and follow the indications for Menaggio. From there, we are about 1 hour driving / 32 km By public transports:  I suggest You MXP-->Saronno-->Como-->Menaggio From Malpensa airport you take the Malpensa express as far as Saronno (one course every 30 minutes travel time 20 minutes).  Here you change and take the train to Como Nord Lago (travel time 40 minutes) From Como Nord Lago you can catch: OR bus line C10 to Menaggio (travel time 1.10 hr.) Bus stop is 200 meters from us. (ask to get off at the Hotel Bellavista, we are 200 meters far from them)Please note that the schedule has a winter schedule (September-June) and a summer schedule (June-September). The last bus is around 8.30 pm and during summer they usually schedule a bus from Como to Menaggio around 10.30 pm)   OR the hydrofoil to Menaggio (travel time 0.50 minutes). For the timetable consult The boat dock is 100 m from the train station Como Lago and we are 400 meters far from the boats station. Please note that the schedule change every 4 months (last boat around 7.30 pm)

We have totally 3 rooms lake view superior; two are on the 3rd floor without balcony & with french windows; one is on the 4th floor (last/attic) with balcony. This is the reason why we can not specify with or without balcony in the room type description.

The Hotel does not have swimming pool, but not far from us (400 meters) there is Lido di Menaggio where they have an open space one.
