Bagno di Romagna is a charming town and well worth a visit...
Bagno di Romagna is a charming town and well worth a visit even for an afternoon. The square and main street has some great shops, and the town is ideally placed to explore the Apennines south of Bologna. Two other towns in the Apennines which are worth a visit are Santa Sofia and Palazzuolo Sul Senio.RogerUnited Kingdom

There are many places to spend time in the hotel including a very comfortable communal lounge, outdoor seating in the shade with the company of a beautiful resident cat, dining rooms and of course the spa facilities (although we didn't use the spa this time as we decided to swim in the river opposite the hotel). The experience of the nice drinks and great dinner on the outside terrasse was one of the highlight of our italian trip, with great view on the sunset over the mountains and historic buildings. The hike around the lake was also very enjoyable.
