We particularly loved the beautiful view of the historic center from our window and the soothing sound of the river while falling asleep. The room had the most comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom.

The bed was large and comfortable. There was a moka pot and coffee left out. The shower was good enough with hot water.

As this was the 2nd time staying at this hotel we knew what the standard was, I would recement the Hotel Michelangelo for a stopover as it is well sited to the motorway going North or South with friendly and helpful staff.
We would have loved to stay longer in the area. The small, mountain towns of Tuscany are so interesting. I'm a landscape painter and there were vistas around every corner we traveled. We went to a vineyard/olive oil family farm and enjoyed a wine/olive oil tasting, had lunch at La Torre in Loro Ciuffenna, and did day trips to Sienna, Montepulciano, and some thermal baths. Delightful and beautiful.
The apartment was simple traditional Italian which was beautiful, just right for us. Easy reach of breakfast terrace & the pool, & dips in the river our balcony overlooked. Easy going with children. Gorgeous grounds, photos didn’t do justice to sense of space, lovely friendly service & buzzy atmosphere with locals enjoying the river. Perfect stroll down the drive to the historical village with ice cream, bar, cafe, grocers, Monday market & couple of restaurants. Loved the place & hope to return! X
Ginevra is so hospitable and friendly and we had such a calm and enjoyable vacation at A casa da Agata. We have special dietary restrictions and she went out of her way to accommodate our needs. The room was spacious and clean and the area is beautiful. We went on a hike that Gievra recommend and ate in the restaurants in the nearby town. The food was delicious! We totally recommend staying with Ginevra if you're looking for a quiet and beautiful vacation!
Big clean rooms, helpful & nice owners, nice pool area with beautiful view, tables in the yard that you can use, nice and quiet surroundings. Don’t miss a visit to the old Poggitazzi farm house (just beside the Agriturismo), Loro Ciuffenna (10 min drive), Gorgiti - to swim in the Ciuffenna river (20 minutes drive), the restaurant La Torre in Loro Ciuffenna and La Cantinella 2.5 km from Poggitazzi.
Everything was perfect. The location is fantastic. The room was floor-cooled, which is super nice if you're sensitive to cold air movement and/or sound. The staff (the owners) were lovely and friendly. The restaurant beside the hotel (Va' Pensiero)
is a must visit place! 10 points for that as well. We really enjoyed our stay here. Calm and relaxing.
Teresa and her team are professionals- they know how to run a hotel. Stay here, you will not be disappointed. We would recommend 3 to 4 days to really appreciate the facilities , surroundings and the breakfast! Book the cooking class- it’s a true Tuscan experience. This is a stay you will remember long after you have gone- wonderful.
We had a lovely 4 night stay at the beginning of October. The house is lovely and the hosts were so friendly and helpful. We were blessed with great weather so were able to use the pool and hot tub. Would definitely visit again.
Very kind hosts, responded in details to all our questions. Very big pool, with nice relaxing area around. Wine and food supplies as very nice welcome surprise. Very good restaurants in a short distance
The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The view from the hotel gardens was excellent. The breakfast was really lovely a great variety of salty and sweet and great coffee.
