Located south of Follonica we find the splendid free beaches of Scarlino which extend for 11 km of coastline. Continuing further south, we find the suggestive beaches of Cala Martina and the much better known Cala Violina. The Maremma Regional Park extends for almost 9,000 hectares in the heart of the Maremma and contains within it the hilly and maritime ecosystems that characterize it. The suggestive nature reserve in 1992 was included by the European Community in the shortlist of 6 protected areas in Italy. It also hosts all the species of wild animals that populate our territories.
