Villaputzu is a 12 minute drive from Porto Corallo, however, several good restaurants, 3 supermarkets and a great pizza place (Marinara).
Not much English spoken but this applies to Sardinia in general, however google translate got us by.
Pappa y Buffa restaurant deserves a shout out, small restaurant specialising in meat dishes, really good steaks, try the bistecca cavollo (horse steak), horsemeat is a Sardinian staple and it's very good.
Yellow panini van on the way out of Villaputzu is also very good for a quick lunch bite.

Plus "+" - Reception where very friendly and helpful.
Plus "+" - Reception where very friendly and helpful. Check in was straight forward and quick, they gave us some good information around things to do and restaurants, etc. Very good English so no issues with communication. Fantastic beaches only a short walk away. The balcony was great and really nice to end the day with a cool drink and nice view of the beach. Great little restaurant "Villa Tamerici" only a 5 walk away. Great location for exploring Southern Sardinia.
Negatives - A bit frustrating with "hidden" additional costs for use of the pool, linen, towels, air-conditioning, if you could not check in within the standard check in times (this was not the case for us) even so still was good value for accommodation in July in Southern Sardinia. The apartment had some water damage/dampness which gave the room a damp wet smell when the room was locked up. Once the doors and windows were open and air could circulate the odour disappeared. This needs to be fixed. No wifi in the room is a negative for today's standards.
For a change, it was very nice and special to stay at Yanika's. Not in a regular hotel, pension, building, or whatever, but on a boat! In a cabin, with two circular windows, and a softly rocking boat. It was one of the highlights of our visit to Sardinia. Moreover, being greeted by Patrick and Daniela felt really warm. Truly interested in their guests, we had a nice chat, and got an insight in the incredible work they're doing to run their hotel. Daniela prepared a great breakfast. It was hard to leave after only one night.
Welcomed very nicely by the hosts, They left tons of products that I thought I'd have to buy. (sugar, salt, spices, olive oil, coffee etc.) also a welcome gift from the local bakery which was lovely after a "long day of traveling".
The house is In the absolute center of Villaputzu which means that ; Pizzeria, Grocery store, Bakery and a Gelateria are within 200meters of the house!
It has a very nice view from the roof terrace as well, lovely to spend nights on.
A beautifully curated home in the middle of Villaputzu (easy access to Cala Murtas and the south east coast). Our hosts were extremely friendly and always on hand. The breakfast is impeccable, a range of home made sweets. Definitely recommend !
