Apartment Aplace2be - Apartment Ticinese
60 Corso di Porta Ticinese, Milan City Center, 20123 Milan, Italy –
This vintage apartment is situated in a courtyard in one of the most ancient districts of Milan. The apartment has a large living room and two bedrooms, one double and one single. It represents the perfect mix between a traditional atmosphere on one side, with the entrance under the porch, the double-leaf doors made of wood and the high ceilings with smoothed corners; and modernity on the other, thanks to a recent restyling of fixtures and fittings that has contributed to the house's comfort and functionality. The living area has a TV corner, with queen size sofa bed and dining table made of solid wood; on the opposite side of the room there is a fully furbished open kitchen with microwave, gas cooktop, dishwasher and a breakfast bar and stools, the perfect place to enjoy a fast meal or a chat while drinking a cocktail. The single bedroom is very spacious, furnished with a six-door closet and small writing desk, and has a window that overlooks the yard and provides natural lighting. The master bedroom boasts a small writing desk and a very big window; here however, the bed is lower, of oriental style, and it has a small compartment where it is possible to store luggage for e

Corso di Porta Ticinese is studded with street wear shops and street food kiosks, and it is possible to breath the many different influences that are mixed together in few hundreds meters. There are: San Lorenzo with its colonnade (the people from Milan call it simply “Colonne”), a square in which every night, during every season, hundreds of people spontaneously meet; the Roman amphitheatre, in Via Arena, one of the oldest relics of the city that is surrounded by the Antiquarium of Alda Levi; the “Conca del Naviglio”, which is a testimony of Milan’s past as fluvial city; and finally, the Bar Rattazzo, historic meeting place of the city’s nightlife. If you want to reach the city centre, the easiest thing is to catch the tram n° 3 that within a few stops will leave you right in Piazza del Duomo. The closest subway stop is “Sant’Ambrogio” on the line M2 (green line), at the intersection between Via Olona and Via Edmondo De Amicis (if you pass by here, we recommend you to have some free time in order to visit the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, which is considered by some to be the most important of the city). For those who come by car, we suggest the Autorimessa Valle, parking lot ope
