We had a wonderful one-night stay at Le Stanze del Lago in late September and do highly recommend it to anyone who prefers style, character and personal touches over a typical hotel stay. We received a warm, personal welcome from Elisabetta - our perfect hostess - and the friendly breakfast staff treated us to a delicious home-made selection the next morning. Le Stanze is only a short walk from the old town center of Como - making it convenient for shopping and entertaining, without the hustle and bustle of downtown. The room and bathroom were super clean and comfortable ...and we also liked the automatic window shutters that totally blocked the light for a restful and quiet night. We enjoyed the "boutique experience" with all its personal touches and attention. We believe that the description (or name) "Suites and Pool" does not properly capture the uniqueness and scope of this exceptional find.
